Caught the first episode last week, wasn't sure how I felt, and now caught the second episode tonight.

Ok, it's not a GREAT show, and I'll be the first to admit watching Jennifer Connelly in ANYTHING is 90 percent of the reason I'd bother with it, but....

Well, I don't quite understand why it's getting so roundly panned. Perhaps my standards are low, or perhaps I'm just so enamoured of JC that I can't think straight about the show, but so far, I'd have to say it's kept me amused and entertained.

Many of the actors here are guys I've appreciated in smaller film roles for a while, people like Adam Goldberg, and Tom Everett Scott, and Giancarlo Esposito (you gotta love Buggin Out playing the head of a Wall Street brokerage.) I love the pace of the show, the music, the stock market stuff, the jokes (the whole Buffy versus Xena debate in the first episode I thought was hilarious) the leads are all very easy on the eyes, and, well, Jesus yes, it has goddam Jennifer Connelly looking AMAZING in every episode! What's not to like?

So, I guess I'm asking, what am I missing? Why am I digging this and the rest of the country is calling it complete crap?
