I'm seriously about to start crying.

God am I ever going to miss him....

..I've decided that when he does pass, I'm going to get shitfaced for the first time in my life and play his albums really loud and sing aloud.

Is anyone taping this?

I watched it and I did cry near the end. What a wonderful tribute to the man. And ending the show with "Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner" was brilliant.

It's going to be tough for me when Zevon goes. His music helped me get through a real tough time.

This Sunday will be five years since WZ died. Tonight, Steve Earle's going to perform Zevon's "Reconsider Me" on Letterman in tribute. You should watch.

I was out and missed it, but always appreciate this kind of heads up on the boards. Of course, if it was Insane Clown Posse you were heads upping me about, I'd be all "wtf you stupid fuck", but thanks just the same.

I missed it too. It was strange to see the thread bumped on the boards until I opened it. I was wondering why Letterman would have such an older repeat, or if my brain had just traveled back in time.

Damn, hate that I missed it but what Phil said, thanks for the update. By luck I caught Zevon's performance back in the day.

Does anyone else remember when Zevon was on The Larry Sanders Show? Good stuff.
