VIDEO GAME DRAFT - Round Ten Discussion - Page 2

Great pick, 86. Jezzball had me at my computer many hours just trying to pass ten levels.

Micah, check your PMs!

Nice pick, flyers. I had a feeling someone would pick that one up in the draft. What a great game. Nothing like getting 3/4s of the way to Oregon, and then using up your last wagon tongue, or having all of your party die from typhoid. I think it's safe to say nearly everyone who went through school in the early 80's played this game.

I'm kinda sad that this is over. It's been a fun trip down memory lane for me. Thanks guys, and you all fucking rock! Except for Bret. May he grow a third testicle -- with cancer!

Wow, thanks! May I ask what pick of mine caused you to curse me with this terrible fate?

MOO. For fuck's sakes, I was in sheer agony when you chose that. And for the love of God, MOM as well! I never expected such insane strategy. Apparently, you've played such games well. Then FFT was a game I was never expecting to be chosen by you. Pretty much in PC territory -- then *BAM* -- freaking take that SquareSoft masterpiece. And since I'm in 3-letter acronym territory: SOB!

[Addendum: I also have to apologize for scolding you for misspelling Master of Magic. You were <swallows shaken pride> correct the first time -- it's without the "s." I am so ashamed. Though that doesn't negate the fact that you still deserve a cancerous third testicle!]

I am still quite shocked that FFT lasted as long as it did. I had it as a 4th round pick originally, knowing that it would go in the first three rounds. I decided to put it off and see how far it would go. What an amazing game.

As for MOM and MOO, well, they have the sole distinction of having been on my first PC, a Gateway 2000 486, for the entire time I owned it. No other game came close. I don't know about you, but I'me getting excited for MOO3, which should be out in the first week of Dec.

Now if only they would do a sequel to MOM....

BTW, may a small dog end up epoxied to your ass teeth-first for taking JK2.

Absolutely brilliant pick, Flyers. I don't know how much time I spent in third grade around a computer naming the family after people I didn't like and then putting the wagon in the worst conditions possible. Of course, there were other non-disturbed fun aspects to game.

Yes Flyers, awesome pick. I remember playing that in computer lab in like, 4th grade. Such a great game.

And I wanna congratulate everyone (especially Micah) for one helluva great draft.

Flyers, that is a BRILLIANT pick that I will be honored to make for you. I wish I could say more, but I don't want to tip anyone off to it.

It's a very personal game for me and a whole lot of people, I would guess.
Thanks Micah, this is the gem I've been waiting to unleash.

I can't believe my "hidden in plain sight" selection of Solitaire was taken. Well done to all involved.

yeah, that was one that I thought NO ONE in their right mind would even consider. I'm kinda hoping that one is like a 'booyah' to everybody.

Oregon trail...ah, the memories. ASSFACE has dysentery.

Great pick-up with Frogger, too. My favorite game for the trusty Intellivision.

I'm glad that everyone enjoyed this, as I did as well.

It was a very smooth-moving draft overall, with almost no dropouts, and a pretty good voter turnout each round.

I understand that the Babe/Hunk Draft '03 is coming up next!

That's one to end all.

As no one loves pussy more than I do, I'm all for drafting chicks again, but seriously, another movie draft is really what we should do next. We've only had one. This is a movie site, right?

Well, it's a possibility. The next one will DEFINITELY be either one of these two.

It's up to Nick. Whatever it is, he'll be resuming duties as Der Komissar.
