Nick Critiques Your Drafts. - Page 2

Look, son. You didn't participate in the Video Game Draft. All of These lists were from the 10 round Video Game Draft that has already ended. Nick will not critique yours. You are now disgraced.
When is Nick going to critique the rest of the drafts? I want to see my score.
I think he may be a bit busy with the deluge of new movies coming out.

Adam McAllister's 2002 Video Game Draft Selections:

1) Kingdom Hearts (PS2)
2) Medal of Honor: Allied Assault (PC)
3) Buffy the Vampire Slayer (X-Box)
4) Legends of the Diamond (NES)
5) Donkey Kong (Arcade)
6) Double Dragon III - The Sacred Stones (NES)
7) Bust-A-Move 2 (N64)
8) Jones in the Fast Lane (PC)
9) Ace Combat 4 (PS2)
10) NCAA Football 2003 (PS2)

GRADE: B-
SECRET WEAPON: Donkey Kong

Adam has diversity in spades, something a lot of drafters didn't focus on but there's a lot of middle of the road titles here which seem like personal or impulse choices.

Four of these titles are less than a year old, and while they're good titles it hurts to total package.

Some good stuff (I had forgotten all about Jones in the Fast Lane) from Adam, but the newness of it (Buff, does that really deserve to be picked?) sets it back a notch.

Woohoo, one more person until I get spanked by the Nunz...

Matt Goldberg's 2002 Video Game Draft Selections:

Round 1: Final Fantasy VII - PSX
Round 2: Super Mario Bros. (All-Stars Vers.) - SNES
Round 3: E.T. - Atari
Round 4: Worms: Armageddon - PC
Round 5: Ape Escape - PSX
Round 6: Area 51 - Arcade
Round 7: Breakout - Arcade
Round 8: Super Mario RPG - SNES
Round 9: Chrono Cross - PSX
Round 10: Final Fantasy X - PS2

GRADE: B
SECRET WEAPON: Ape Escape

The inclusionof E.T. baffles my ribcage apart, but there are some true greats here. Breakout was one of the most addictive games ever and he really has the RPG front handled. Super Mario All-Stars is nothing short of perfection.

Ape Escape was skipped over by many, but was an ingenius game as well.

Although there's not much range here, Matt has some truly strong works that help balance out the inclusion of Worms and ET (why choose them so early?).

Surprisingly stout, considering the narrow focus.

Whoa... I expected to get thrashed. Thanks, Nick!

What is wrong with Worms?

Is this over with? If so thats fine, just wanted to check.

I didn't participate, and I should of. But to the man who picked Windjammers from the NeoGeo.

That was the pick of the draft. Little known gem.
