Newsradio (The Phil Hartman years)
Fuck, I forgot all about Phil Hartman's NewsRadio.
I put that one on my list too.

Oh and, Friends isn't so much funny as I find it highly enjoyable. I mean it is funny at times, but not enough for me to actually consider it one of my top funniest shows. Now top TV shows, then it is definitely on there.
MASH
Animaniacs
Ealy Simpsons
WKRP
Cosby
Dinosaurs

and a host of others already mentioned...

I don't know, man. Some of those latter-day episodes were pretty damn funny. Remember the one where Butt-Head was trying to help Beavis stop a nosebleed? Or when Beavis started mimicking everything Butt-Head said, so Butt-Head tries to trick him into being hit by a car? Or when they started a band and booked a gig at the local Ramada Inn, advertised as Metallica?

And played out it may be, the first time Cornholio made an appearance was fucking hilarious.
Scrubs
The Simpsons
M*A*S*H
SNL (original cast)
The Real Ghostbusters (funniest damn Saturday Morning cartoon EVER)
NewsRadio
Courage the Cowardly Dog (early episodes, now, not so much)
Are You Being Served?
Monty Python's Flying Circus
Hmmm. Don't watch much TV, but there're a few shows I won't turn away from if they're on and I'm bored.

Taxi
Barney Miller
The Kids in the Hall
Monty Python's Flying Circus
M*A*S*H

But the one I really miss is Stark Raving Mad. I know it was derivitive of The Odd Couple, but damn, man... the main character wrote horror novels and his agent was scared shitless by them. There were a lot of campy, quirky laughs on that show.

Of course, it also came on way past my bedtime, so maybe that had something to do with it how funny I found it....

The Simpsons in its prime was simply the funniest TV show ever. In its PRIME, though.

Conan & Andy

The Daily Show

Insomniac with Dave Atell

Ren & Stimpy (even the new stuff)

Sesame Street when Elmo comes on

UK: Fawlty Towers, Teletubbies, and anything with Steve Coogan as Alan Partridge
post #18 of 31

Bunny Dracula - Beyond spectacula:
Larry David is every one of Seinfeld's characters rolled-up into one big, neurotic mess of a man. I saw him at a restaurant in Santa Barbara, once, and he totally lived down to what his TV character was like. This guy's the real deal.

Edited to say that this is a compliment.
One time Jason Alexander said that all he does to become the character of George is simply impersonate Larry.

When I started watching Curb Your Enthusiasm, I saw it immediately.

Bunny Dracula - Beyond spectacula:
Martin Short - Ed Grimley, Jackie Rogers Jr.
Jackie Jr starring as his non-albino entertainer father in the TV bio-pic tribute Jackie, We Hardly Knew Ye is still one of the most unbelievably funny things I've seen. We're talking almost lethally funny, one of those all-too-rare "I think I'm gonna die laughing here" moments. SCTV came close to that a lot.

This show often times beat out SNL (original cast) in it's wild hilarity. One of the best things to come out of Canada - EVER.
Indubitably.

SNL has had its moments over the years--well, not so much lately, but when it was good it could be really good. I don't think it ever matched SCTV at its best, though.
