This is not trying to draw attention away from the draft, I just thought that it would be fun.
I know that every few months we do lists like these, but I thought, "why not make a definitive list," in so much as these lists are definitive. So here's the deal.
You get your top ten albums of all time. Rank them. I don't want to hear about "oh, I can't decide." Decide, if only for this moment, and you have three months.
The list will be open for three months (That's August 29, 2003 at 11 am) in order to get as many participants as possible. I would like to see everybody, from the moderators to the newer chewers participate. After the date passed, with several "bumps", I will compile the best of and create a master list of the Chewers Greatest Albums of All Time. Depending on how big of a response, this could be from the top 50 Chewers Greatest Albums to the top 100.
The rules:
1. There are no rules as for what you can choose, any genre is allowed. Including bootlegs, but not mix cds that you made.
2. Please list your albums in 1-10 format, i.e., your favorite album is 1 your second favorite album is 2, etc. This is crucial to the eventual scoring process. Your number one album will go in the list with 10 points, number 2 with nine, and so forth and so on. The ones that score the highest will determine the ranking. You can list them in no order if you like, but please remember to list them. The scoring process will not change.
3. You can modify the list as often as you like, however, the final list must be 10 albums by the due date.
4. Please list your albums like this:
Regular album:
1. Bob Dylan-Blood on the Tracks-1975
Classical Work:
1. Leonard Bernstein/New York Philharmonic- George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue/An American In Paris-1959
Compiliation Soundtrack:
2. Soundtrack- American Grafitti -1973
Classical/Singular Artist soundtrack:
3. John Williams- The Empire Strikes Back -1980.
Bootleg:
4. The Grateful Dead- Live Atlanta, Georgia 5-25-77 -Bootleg
or
5. Radiohead-Hail To The Thief-Bootleg
That's it. I hope this turns out to be fun.
