I've longed maintained that there's no point in going beyond 7 rounds if you have enough people in a draft so that a round takes two days to execute.

If that's the case, casual drafters just lose interest as they realize this will take WEEKS to complete.

But whatever...more for me. I'm looking forward to getting the gem I've selected for round 8.

I thought long and hard about Persephone, but like I said earlier, I'm trying to not draft actresses that have already been picked in another role. With my pick this round, I think it's the first time I solidly know who I'm going to pick, and am not worried about anyone grabbing her before me.

And thank goodness for "Stop, Or My Mom Will Shoot!" and "Mannequin" so I can get me some of that Estelle Getty goodness.

I was on the fence with Persephone as well, but two factors pushed me over.

1) I wanted another franchise player.
2) I played through Enter The Matrix and watched Monica kiss Jada Pinkett-Smith.

Despite his massive popularity, I was hoping to snag John Preston in the ninth round. I haven't drafted any males yet, but I plan on getting at least one to protect my harem.

I've done a better job picking men than women. I think I've hurt the women in the draft a lot, too. In two rounds, I lost just about every woman I wanted. I'm only going for nostalgic and coolness factors now.

I shall pick one more man and one more woman...
