any time a review is given or a news paper or tv show is mentioned

and i HATE absolutely HATE when they SHOW any scene from the final 15 minutes of a movie.

Hey guys. Newbie, first post. Where's my medal?

Anyway, regarding the reference to Janeane Garofalo earlier: She mentions if you ever hear the words "I'm too old for this shit!" or "I love this job!" followed by Woolie Bully (sp?), Louie Louie, or Mony Mony... DON'T GO.

Garofalo rules.

Personally, I always hated it when trailers used the score from the climax of James Cameron's Aliens. They even used that score for the trailer to some Goldie Hawn "my husband is secretly evil!" thriller.

I hate obvious attempts to build Oscar buzz.

"Critics agree ____________is the best movie of the year."

"_________ gives a performance worthy of an Oscar (insert Ashton Kuther, Sean William Scott..etc)"

I also hate when they try to set up your emotions:

"________will make you cry."

Well, now that you told me that, I'll make an effort NOT to cry.

Worst of the worst.

"Starring Madonna."

Maybe I'll watch that film if I'm stuck in an aisle seat on a plane and can't get to the window to jump out.
