I say the draft is on hold until Nick comes back and straightens some of this shaft out. We can't go on making the rules up as we go along... it defeats all purpose.

Indeed, I did jump the gun, you bastards, HOWEVER......

I spoke to Nick, and HE says that my choice is fine and his other women are eligible, but ANYONE else who drops out needs to come to Nick first so that HE can determine when their picks go back in the pool.

To review:

1) All of Fallen Angel's Women (Mia Kirshner, Drew Barrymore, Tia Carrere) are now eligible to anyone after me.
2) If you want to drop out from here on out, GO TO NICK FIRST.
3) Patrick is next.

That's fine, but in the better interest of the integrity of the draft, your choice is under protest.

Seriously, it's not that I care that the freak is gone (she wasn't even on my list) but you basically were awarded a 1st round pick in the 4th round for no other reason than you were next after someone dropped out. That violates the spirit of the draft. What's fair about that?

Carl, I can't argue with that.

Timing, and two people (myself and Fallen Angel) jumping the gun lead to me getting Jolie, but that's the way it stands as of NOW. If there is a big outcry about it, I'll deposit her back and make another pick.

I want to have fun like the rest of you guys, and it's not my intention to "steal" this draft away. If I win it, I want to win fair and square.

So again if either Nick (being that he is the ruling authority) OR a consensus majority of drafters demands that I give up the lady, it shall be done.

As was said, Patrick and Mickey Knox are next.

Well taken, Micah. In a nutshell, my problem is this:

You would have both the 12th and 13th overall picks in the draft! And for no other reason that LUCKY timing and the fact that you were able to place a local call to Nick on the phone.

Again, it's not that I have a problem with WHO was chosen... it's just the ethics of it all.

Even though this is all for FUN, it IS a contest... and I would feel more than cheated if your list contained two #1 draft picks when compared to mine or everyone else's.

That said... let's try and find a compromise of some sort and work the pants out.

Carl, I agree, but SOMEONE will get two number one picks.

It'll either be me, being lucky enough to have the timing to pick when Fallen Angel drops out


OR


It'll be someone else, being lucky enough to have been chosen at random to be in a position to have first dibs on Fallen Angel's picks, most likely Hellblazer.


Either way, someone is LUCKY and someone gets TWO first round picks.

Does it make a difference which one is the lucky one? I suspect only to myself and whoever the other individual would be.
