Well, my tact is... If i'm TRULY stranded on a deserted island with no real hope for escape and/or rescue I want SEXIES to keep my mind (and other things) at ease. Hell, with my fantasy harem being stranded could be viewed as a blessing.

I think this whole discussion is somewhat silly. You can't truly know what ANYONE is like unless you know them at least socially. Shannen Doherty has a reputation for being a bitch, yes, but do you KNOW her? If not, how can you possibly deem yourself qualified to pronounce judgement on her character?

As to the earlier line about "loose labia cokebunnies," or some such noise, personally, being a stranger neither to coke nor to promiscuity, even if true, I wouldn't consider either charge to be sufficient to rule anyone out of anything. If those are your moral standards, that's fine. No one is asking you to change them. But it's incredibly close-minded to assume everyone must share them. I certainly don't.

Just to add, I DO happen to know one of the ladies chosen in this draft. She was selected in the fourth round -- not by me -- and though not yet mentioned in these rounds of condescension, I'd imagine her public image, based on the films she's done, isn't exactly sterling. That said, she happens to be one of the sweetest, most caring, most reliable friends anyone could ever ask for. I wouldn't know that if I didn't know her, and I wouldn't presume anyone else to know that who doesn't know her. But I would hope that those who DON'T know her would at least have the decency not to judge her based simply on the sort of work she's been offered, or what they imagine her sexual habits might be, or whatever snippets they may have culled from brief interviews, and understand that beyond all that is a PERSON.

And I don't mean for any of that to come off as snippy, but I find it somewhat hypocritical, HAM, that you claim on the one hand to be making a case for choosing women based on their "character," and then show a remarkable lack of it yourself by pronouncing judgment on those you simply don't know.

By the way, just for clarification's sake, I mentioned earlier that I'm related to Vanessa Marcil. That's NOT the draftee I know. I've actually never met Vanessa Marcil, and from what I know of her, she basically wants nothing to do with the family.

Breathe Ray. Nobody's passin' judgement on anybody. I wrote what I wrote to cheese a bit and start an interesting discussion-and it worked. Dave made really excellent (and funny) points, Mikah, Carl, Neil Bung, and Lowshot chimed, and apparently, there's going to be a thread at the end about exactly what I was trying to find-reasons behind the choices.

If I did "pass judgement" on anyone, it was me. I asked if my choices were the wrong ones.

And again, not basing this on character-just public perception, which can only be skewed so much.

And having attempted to date formerly drug-addled women with loose labia-(of the model-thin NYC Donna Karan Couture-Sophisto variety, not the tanned-hide LA coke bunny variety) I can say, with confidence, that I do not ever want to be stranded on an island with one EVER.

But, as I labored to make very clear in my previous posts-THAT'S JUST ME.

I myself think that being plump is far preferable to being underfed, undernourished, and walking around with a case of borderline malnutrition. Dieting and exercising to stay in shape is fine. Starving yourself to the point of losing muscle mass in assinine. And dude, big boned and obese are two entirely different things. Some people have very heavily built body frames. I'm 6 feet, 290, and if i take my shirt off you can see my ribs. If I were to actually lose the 60 or 70 pounds that I'd have to lose to get down to what is supposedly my 'ideal body weight', I'd look like a goddamned monster. Large and unhealthy don't necessarily go hand in hand, and neither do small and healthy.

But hell, man, it all boils down to personal preference in the end. Skinny chicks don't float my boat, and they never have. Obviously you don't feel the same way. Cool. If we ever hit a bar together, we won't have to argue over women

Hey, I've got nothing against fat people, and I guess using the word pig is insulting and I apoligize. What I'm railing against is anyone who says being Overweight is ok. Like Hellblazer said, he's not in his target weight, but he's health and that's good!

But what I've heard Manhiem say is that being overweight should not be a problem and everyone should not be so image obsessed. If you're big and can't help it (genetics) then fine, but there are too many overweight people in the US that it's being called a crisis! Our kids are growing up with too much food and not enough exercise.

I'm not bashing fat people and if I came off that way, I'm sorry. I'm just shedding light on a problem that many tend to ignore.
