Micah's a scoundrel, going after Tom Cruise's ex wife of convenience. Good pick.
Many thanks, Nick. I'm listening to her serenade me about flying away with me right now. What a gem.

Ahhhhh.
She still needs a tan, though.

"There was a boy.... a very strange, enchanted boy..."

Indeed.

Yeah. I mean, who'd want to spend time with a gorgeous redhead who sings and falls easily into bed?

Get a move on!
my home computer is crapped out so i will be unavailable from 7 pm to 10 am. If by some chance the next 20 people go this evening, feel free to skip me until morning.
How long should we wait before we skip someone? Is there a time frame? I say you snooze, you looze. Who's with me?

Or, should we just wait?
Why must we still insist on doing this lame ass first round snail's pace every god damn time?

It never works and it always delays things to the point that by the time it finally gets to our turn, we don't give a shit anymore.

This takes a week to do one round shit needs to be put away...
Speaking of a snail's pace, where's our 'legit' Kroner update?

I sent the guys an email about this. Let's not jump the gun too much. Round one needs to be done this way whether we like it or not.

INDY IV will come out before this draft ends.

Kinda glad I sat this one out, actually.

No. The first round is ALWAYS excruciatingly slow. ALWAYS. Plus, we always get some newbies signing up for the draft who have no idea how it works and don't realize that they need to be on the boards regularly to participate.

Personally, I'm all for drafting being a PRIVILEGE that is granted ONLY to people with 100 posts or more and that will be here regularly.

And I would state that in big ass letters in the signup thread.

But, it's no big whoop. Whether I was first or last, this is merely a fun game, and people should chill and not be in such a hurry. Make all the cracks about it being slow that you like, but please don't get genuinely angry or frustrated.

Things will WIZZ by once we get the first round out of the way.

Besides, now that all the big characters are out of the way, we can see some truly cool and inspired choices this time around.

I would just like someone to explain to my dumbass just why it's required that we creep along for a week doing round one.

Cause my brain ain't wrapping around the concept...

It's simple...

There's always new people in the draft, and round one features people's most coveted choices. I don't want someone to lose their number one pick for any reason other than if someone before them in the draft chooses it. Once round one ends, it's on the fast track.

I tire of people complaining as if there's nothing else at all to discuss in the meantime.

If anyone cannot handle this one round that creeps (and I wish people would get their shit together and draft too, mind you) along, I'm sorry. It's the way it is. Ideally it's meant to protect us.

Bwa ha ha ha!
Nick lost patience and accelerated the process right to the tiered rounds! That's pretty hilarious.

"SCREW IT"
What's a tiered round?
Okay, so it says that I need to pick "by 5:00 EST". Does that mean I can't pick until a certain time, or can I pick any time before 5:00? Can a veteran help me out?
West coast in the house. My pick is up.

- You can't just tap them on the shoulder anymore. You have to hit them with a sledgehammer. And then you'll notice you have their strict attention.

She's gorgeous. She's smart. She's sexy. She's witty. She plays a mean game of croquet.

She's Veronica Sawyer (of Heathers), my first round pick.
Who's the Jedi Master that's a sex machine to all the Padawan Learners?

MACE!

You damn right...

Sam Jackson.

Sam Jackson with a lightsaber.

The saga continues...
I can't believe that any Christian Slater character went before a Jedi, especially a Jedi played by Sam the Man Jackson.

Believe me, we fought the good fight on this the first time around, and it's human beings only.

Thanks for the head's up -- I've edited my pick. Since I didn't see any rules (other than the one about not choosing folks from the first round draftees), I didn't realize. I'm guessing that all the usual arguments about "but she's more real than half the folks who have been chosen" were used already. :-)

Yeah but Sam was only in the movie for four minutes! Sure he was a bad ass, but that's just coasting on SLJ's rep.
Wait for Episode 2...
I'd rather watch 4 minutes of Samuel L. Jackson than any number of movies with Slater, but maybe that's just me. But you ave to admit, that was a cool 4 minutes, and he definitely has a cool Jedi presence. And I second Django, wait till Episode 2 when he starts wuppin ass with his purple lightsaber.

Episode 2 is gay porn? I didn't know...
So maybe I worded that badly

Damn, Flint just took my next pick. Benicio is my favorite actor, and that's one of his greatest roles. I almost took him first, oh well.
Sorry about that Stew!

I've found that the hardest part of the game is ORDERING your picks. Last time, practically every other round someone would swipe a character I 'was going to pick next time dammit!!!', it got most frustrating...
Good pick Morrisey, except that Inspector GAC already picked him. Go check out the list in the main sewer.
Morissey,

in case you can't in find it, here's a link to the already picked in the first character draft list:
