I wonder if the pictures thread and the selection thread should be one and the same. Otherwise, should people just describe the poster? Could get a little difficult. Sure, there's the real potential that people will pick posters that aren't linkable on the net, but it still might be the best way to go.

Nah, we're cool. The pictures thread should be just pictures. Hopefully we see some truly magical stuff chosen in this first round, because the poster to PAY IT FORWARD is mine!

Maybe I'm unclear on the rules, but aren't the multiple posters that some movies have eligible to be drafted separately?

Yes, let's keep it limited to U.S. posters (no quads, people)...

But for example, there are teasers and one sheets. The regular Episode One poster is still available.

Hey, did anybody else notice that at just the same time as Nick suggested we do a poster draft, thus ensuring that we'll all be thinking fondly of movie posters for the next two business weeks, allposters.com shows up in the banner ads? Should this be christened the CHUD/allposters.com Movie Poster Draft? Gettin' a cut, chief?

Poxy, why should you be re-picking? Both posters are eligible. I believe the one Blo found and posted is the Ansel one.

Yeah, but I assumed Nick would take the cooler one, and the original poster is cooler than the re-release.

But, yeah, that Empire poster is magnificent. I still remember studying that image for minutes at a time when it adorned the Glut novelization, which I gobbled up greedily before the movie was released.

Sorry Low, but Vertigo is WAAAYYY too cool for me to pass up. The artist in me wants to go the fully painted route, but the graphic designer just loves Saul Bass!

Click on one of the posts in the picture thread, hit "edit" and you'll see the syntax. It's [*img*].jpg source code[*/img*] (without the asterisks)

The number placement of the pick. The first pick made in the entire draft is listed as [1], the 5th as [5], the 100th as [100].

Does anyone know a good place to get posters to post here? I found "out of Sight" after a long while, but Geocities won't let me link to a picture on their sites and all the others won't open it in an actual window. Where are you guys getting yours. In case you're curious as to what I'm looking for, I need "Heat", "The Limey", and "The Untouchables". Also, thanks to Blofeld for posting my "The Godfather Part III" pick.
