Best "Oh shit" scenes

What are some of the best scenes out there where the characters suddenly realize that they're in deep shit? They get that priceless look on their face, and things begin to go downhill fast.

Obvious choice- "We're gonna need a bigger boat."

The look of sudden realization upon Henry Fonda's face, at the point of dying (Once Upon a Time in the West)

Also Donald Pleasance getting that numb hypnotic-eye expression, when the big band music starts playing on his tape (Escape from New York)

After rescuing Newt from the hive and trying to flee, Ripley stumbles into a room filled with Alien eggs, and then looks up to see the Queen Alien right in front of her....

John McClane desperately tying firehose around his waist and getting ready to leap off the top of Nakatomi Plaza..."I swear to god, I'll never go up in another tall building again..."

Just before the opening credits of Return of the Living Dead, when the main character accidentally opens one of the zombie barrels and then screams those exact words.

The end of Angel Heart.

That look on Johnny Ringo's face when Doc Holliday shows up instead of Wyatt Earp in Tombstone.

Roy's reaction in Shanghai Noon when he realizes Marshall Nathan Van Cleef is yelling for him outside the saloon.

Vukovich in the back of the getaway car in To Live and Die in L.A., realizing he should have trusted his own moral judgment.

Jack comes back again and again to remind his pal exactly what kind of deep shit he's in in An American Werewolf in London.

Marvin becomes window decoration for Vincent's car in Pulp Fiction.

Indy running into the square while chasing after Marion's basket and seeing literally dozens of them being carried around in Raiders.

Clooney and Wahlberg seeing the final wave in The Perfect Storm.

I think the best have been stated.

Plane crashes stick with me.
ALIVE- when the guy sees the mountain range to late. eek!
Castaway- when you see nothing but water coming.

The end of Angel Heart.
Excellent choice.

"You're gonna burn for this, Angel."
"Yeah. In Hell."

(Think I remembered that right... Whatever, GREAT film)

A couple of additions:

Fellowship of the Ring: From the moment I heard the horrible grinding of a huge door being opened, followed by a long view down a hall which was beginning to glow orange, to the first reveal of the Balrog in full glory, I was muttering "ohshitohshitohshitohshit" under my breath.

Aliens - when they realize the signals are IN the room and everyone slowly looks at the ceiling. That's "Oh shit" number one. Then when Hicks takes a look and sees dozens of 'em crawling in the rafters, that's "OH, HOLY FUCKING SHIT!" number 2.

Great thread.

How about...

Vertigoy shot of Chief Brody while the Kintner boy's getting eaten.

animated Vertigoy shot of Simba when he sees the wildebeast stampede.

Ash emerging from the cave in the original ending to Army of Darkness.

Ash realizing he's forgotten what was definitely an n-word in same.

Tuco looking up at the noose at the end of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

For my money, noone does the "Oh Shit" look (complete with slomo head turn) better than Van Damme in Universal Soldier (during his first Vietnam flashback as a Unisol).

I think some people misunderstood my post. These are supposed to be scenes where the CHARACTERS realize that they are in deep shit, not something that makes the audience go "holy shit", although there are crossovers.

He meant that if you were quoting Dennis Farina in Snatch, the line is:

"Shut up and sit down you big bald fuck."

I mentioned the blatant misquote here but was ignored.

Not sure about the Die Hard scene from the top of the building...but the scene where he's looking down the elevator shaft after throwing the chair in and realizes he's about to be toast, is a pretty classic "oh shit" scene.

Also, the scene when the Predator looks up to see this huge tree trunk falling on him...

In Snatch, when Bricktop walks into the pawn shop, and the guys are trying to move the body...Lincoln's look is great.

Do I have to mention the scene immediately after the line, "it's too big to be a spacestation..."?

In Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, after they come out of the Animal Testing Facility with Suzanne, and see all the cops driving up. Or when they are in the diner and hear Judd Nelson over the megaphone.

Blade II, when Scud just realizes he's being attacked by the Reapers.

last one...

In Big Trouble in Little China, when Jack opens the door to see a bunch of bad guys...

RETURN OF THE JEDI

'But how could they be jamming us if they don't know... if we're coming?"
The end of Ronin, where Seamus, with the case, watches Deirdre drive away, and realizes he's been had.

Top Gun, when Maverick and Goose get tagged by Jester while chasing Viper.

The Empire Strikes Back when Luke is in the Dark Cave on Degobah and suddenly sees Vader there.

Training Day, at the end when he's on the street all alone in his car.

a new hope- when han chases the stormtroopers down the hall until they hit the dead end. the special edition made that scene even cooler.

kentucky fried movie- during the 'fistful of yen' scene. the bruce lee guy keeps knocking the big guy down, but he keeps getting up. he turns his head in slow motion and says, 'what the fuck?'. funny stuff.

Training Day, when Hoyt realizes Alonzo left him at the house. The look on his face right before the guys grab him is great.

In Lord of the Rings, when Sean Bean gets hit with 3 arrows, the look on his face when he realizes it's over for him.
In Run Lola Run, when she robs the bank, ditches the gun and thinks she got away scot free, and opens the door to see the building surrounded by cops and SWAT teams, all pointing their guns at her.
Aliens - when the aliens surround the room and are coming through the floor boards and they keep cutting to all the little dots approaching the room

Jurassic Park - when Sam Neill and the Joseph Mazzello are in the tree and Neill looks up and knows that the car is going to come crashing down after them.

Also in JP - when Muldoon sees the second raptor and all he can say is, "clever girl."

Actually, Jurassic Park has a lot of "oh shit" scenes.
In "Star Trek: Generations" when the saucer-section of the Enterprise D crashes toward the planet DATA says exactly what the audience is thinking, "OH SHIT!"

An oh shit moment for me at least was the when the doors open and Darth Maul emerges.
Another great moment is in "Star Trek 3" when the Klingons have boarded the Enterprise and they hear the computer counting down it's self-destruct sequence, clueless, they let Kruge listen to it.
Christopher Lloyd's reaction is priceless as he screams for them to get the hell out of there.
