DIE HARD

Which is your favorite?
Mine: #1, because it's the original.
However, I like #2 a great deal as well, much in the same way I like both Alien and Aliens.
They're different...
And Die Harder is one of the few films that I think that Gena-throw-away has done some good work on.

One is definitely the best. I didn't like Harder that much when I first saw it a long time ago. I like it a whole lot more now. It's about on par with how much I like Die Hard #3 now which I like basically for the fiery interaction between Mr.Glass and Dunn.

The second one also showcased the beginnings of the Franzian Method.

I felt that Harder was admirable from the get-go. It took the formula, gave you what you were expecting from a second Die Hard picture, yet stepped up the stakes and the size of the original -- much like Aliens did.

Vengeance is a poor bastard child with some enjoyable noises and cute faces, but a stinking mess nonetheless.

You're right about Harder. I've only realised that part of it only quite recently and how much of a really good sequel it really is.

While 3 may not be the typical Die Hard endeavour, it kinda caught me off-guard when I frst saw it and it entertained me. Maybe it was the lack of a quality actioner then but it nevertheless somehow stroked me the right way.

Hm.

That's why Bea Arthur is an acceptable Die Hard film to you?

My main problem with Vengeance (although I do like the film) is its lack of containment. That's part of the formula for me.

I gotta side with Blo here. With A Vengence just feels wrong to me and in my opinion is woefully missing one key element tnat made the first two so memorable.

Heart

With Bonnie Bedilia WAV was just another Willis action movie. In fact it always seems like a sequel to Last Boy Scout to me.

Die Hard is the best...

The first is the best, but I'm going to have to side with Die Hard 3 as being my second fave. The second is a lot of fun (espescially on TV "OHHH (completely different voice) SHOOOOTTTTT!!!).

and a voice was screaming: Holy Jesus! What are these damn animals

Your summation was just about right, Erix.

I'll never forget watching a bit of Die Hard With a Vengeance on TV where it had McClane walking down the street wearing a sandwich board that said "I hate EVERYONE". Needless to say I was on the floor.

Here is the puzzle: you have a 5-gallon jug and a 3-gallon jug. You must measure exactly 4-gallons. How?

Answer: Fill the 3-gallon jug. Pour the water from the 3-gallon jug into the 5-gallon jug. This leaves room for 2-gallons in the 5-gallon jug. Fill the 3-gallon jug again. Pour from the 3-gallon jug until the 5-gallon jug is full. This leaves 1-gallon of water in the 3-gallon jug. Empty the 5-gallon jug. Pour the 1-gallon from the 3-gallon jug into the 5-gallon jug. Fill the 3-gallon jug. Pour the entire 3-gallon jug into the 5-gallon jug (which already has 1-gallon of water in it). This will result in 4-gallons in the 5-gallon jug.
