Yep, it's a franchise. What are your favorites? I've not seen a single one.

The only Eastwood film I've ever seen is In the Line of Fire.

Then you're dumb. Fool.

Sudden Impact was good, featuring the famous "Go ahead, make my day!" phrase.

The original's my favorite. Though The Dead Pool is fun to watch. Check it out for Neeson's role as a slimy horror film director (complete with pony tail), and Jim Carrey as a doomed heroin-addicted rockstar and the cameos from members of Guns N' Roses. The funny thing is this film came out in the summer of 88, before any of these people were famous. Does Clint have an eye for talent or what?

Dirty Harry takes the cake. Clint in that role is the single coolest mofo who ever did walk on this earth. The scene where he stops the bank robbers while remaining perfectly calm and eating his hot dog all the while is one of the best in movie history.

It was during my formative years. I don't recall if it was Dog Day Afternoon or Taxi Driver, but I saw one of those two films at my neighborhood friend's house on Showtime or HBO.

Mom found out about it.

Mom and Dad took retribution for the act on my soul.

Dirty Harry films were lumped in with the "You will not see these films" of the '70's.

That, plus the fact that <getting ready to duck> I don't care for the Western genre <ducks>, has led to my being rather uneducated in the Clint Eastwood department.

Oh, wait! I LOVED THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY. So, I'm cool, right?

"The only Eastwood film I've ever seen is In the Line of Fire."

Oh yea? I got one better. The only Eastwood film I have ever seen is Pink Cadillac.

I have major catching up to do.

And you're going at the walking speed of Marlon Brando.

Good Lord, man. Ye better start some major purchasing yesterday.

Dirty Harry hasn't really dated much at all. It may be slow in parts but damned sweetly directed and crafted. Eastwood started this genre of the lone mofo cop and probably still the best at it. A little of Harry was also divined into Heartbreak Ridge...I think.

Yes. The Dead Pool was quite bloody fun.
