...kind of:
The site, TrekToday.com, says the cast will include characters similar to those of the original series: Capt. Jackson Archer is a middle-aged, "physical" type with a "bold personality" who is a "bit of a renegade"; Subcommander T'Pau is a female Vulcan who is "austere yet sensual" and is a "loyal and trusted" crew member; Dr. Phlox is an alien with an "eccentric sense of humor" who practices strange New Age-type "intergalactic medicine"; and Lt. Cmdr. Malcolm Reed is a "spit and polish and by-the-book" British chief engineer who is "soft-spoken, shy and awkward around women."
The fan site also says producers are looking for an African-American helmsman, a Japanese communications expert and translator, and a Southerner who is unfamiliar with new civilizations.
