Collectable Card Games: Who Else Here Is Addicted?

Hey Gang.

As many of you know, in the past I have ragged on my cohorts in Team Django LBC and their love of that damn Pokemon Collectable Card game.

Well, tonight I have faced the fact that I'm addicted to the Star Wars CCG. Not only have I spend a hundred bucks on a box of Death Star II boosters trying (in vain) to score a Palpy card, but I have just begun looking for deals on Ebay.

Scored me a black boarder Yoda for $20.

Anyway, am I the only one who's into this shit or not?

Feel free to call me an asshole at any point...

Django,

When the Star Wars card game came out I bought TONS and TONS of cards. I still have them, and should price them, because I never learned how to play because no one else would play with me.

I was a lonely teen..

I'm with Low here in that I buy tons of these things even though none of the cohorts 'round here would play cause they never scored any of the main characters.

Course they never actually wanted to spend money buying the packs either...

You're right Poxy about what happened to Magic and others, but all that is gone now. The popularity of tournaments has declined sharply. Now, most of the people who still play are those that like the game.

I broke out my cards just the last week and had a great time playing like I used to with friends years ago. 5 color decks with hundreds of monsters and just going at it. Still very fun and nostalgic once you get back into it.
