NO IMAGINATION, new from PKG!

This won't sound like the newer stuff (Aileron, Superconductor Sleeps), because it's one for the remakes album. I wrote this song well over 9 years for Carl Cunningham one day when we were both dealing with writer's block, which is what the song's about.

This is a weird one, kind of "jammy", but not really all that aggressive, just kind of there. I like it, though and was glad I was able to re-administer the bridge verse that I had to cut off of 'Ghosts Harm Humans' because the it didn't fit the music. This is the 4th and last incarnation of this song. Hope you find it worth the download.

NO IMAGINATION
(Music & Lyrics - N.N.)

Inside the room, the silence starts
the writer barricades his thoughts
what once was rich and free of doubt
is now a void and filled with fear

The loss of thoughts
a frail persona
a cryptic victory
the spell that I'm under

Imagination is going away
No Imagination

The well dries up and the shadow falls
another mark, the years go by
the smoking gun, no mystery
the paper blank inside of me

The loss of thoughts
a frail persona
a cryptic victory
the spell that I'm under

Imagination is going away
No Imagination

Drums & Guitar - Micah
Guitar - Andrew
Guitar & Backing Vocals - Steve
Keys, Bass, and Lead Vocals - Nick

I like that one a lot.

Ah new tunes - something nice to wake up to.

First thought the lead in was a little long, but changed my mind after my second listen. Great song. Can see it getting a lot of play in my daily commute.

I seem to remember an old post about Ghost Harm Humans being re-released. Is this still coming? The new versions are definetly an improvement but I find it interesting to compare to the originals.

Pretty good song. Not crazy about the lyrics so much as I am about the mood of the song. It's nice. I like. Great to get a new PKG song.

I just LOVE this one. With this and "Superconducter Sleeps," you can see and hear Nick's vocal and production prowess evolving. Tasteful effects and layered background vocals are just in the pocket.

Extra kudos to Steve's really tasteful clean guitar fills here and there. Like nice bits of seasoning that just take the tune to another level.

This is a very cool song. It's something that would get major airtime in my cd player.

This song, it is great. Nice, clean vocals convey the mood of the tune very well. Actually, the vocals are my favorite part. The guitar work is top-notch, too. I think a lot of times three guitars tend to run over each other too much, creating a big mess, but I think they compliment each other hear. Man, the coming PKG releases are shaping up to be impressive.

Incidentally, and completely unrelated to this band, I will be submitting a Levitator review in the next few days. Technical issues, combined with my problem of hitting the repeat button too many times on a few tracks, have caused delays.

I like all of the music, and the chorus is awesome, but I'm not crazy about the verse. Can't say why, sorry. Just doesn't hit me at all. I liek the solo too. VERY ZZ Top, in fact, better than ZZ Top.
