Folks, this marks the first song to feature our newly re-attached Andrew Wylie (and congrats Andrew on the birth of little Michael Wylie) after his 6 year exile in Memphis.

Add to that a great guest drum track from Johnny Mak.

Here's the stats and link:

FORGET TO BREATHE
(lyrics: Nunziata - music: Robinson)

Stay awake if I command you to
don't you share my cracked up point of view
take a chance and let the current carry us
both together

Just get carried away
feeling loose and free
no need to be
just forget to breathe

Feeling less and less
immortality
lest we fail the test
just forget to breathe

Find your way if you crave fufillment
just don't rain on my nightmare parade
rough waters ahead, my friend
let me drag you in

Feeling less and less
immortality
lest we fail the test
just forget to breathe

Vocals & keys: Nunziata
Bass: Robinson
Guitar: Wylie
Drums: Makarewicz

Yet another new fave.

The timing is weird, but it reminds me in parts of Dirt-era Alice in Chains.

In any case, it's pretty different from anything that Package has done before.

Not that anyone is listening........

I like it. It's dirty, and grimy, and so raw. The guitar fucking rules. The bass sounds awesome. Hard to describe, really kinda funky, but broken, if that makes sense.

The funk is courtesy of John Makarewicz's smooth drumming. I love what that guy does.

People are not listening in droves.

I have a job now, so once I start, I'll be able to buy.

I'm not worried about people buying (though it'd be good). It's just the hope that a few people give a damn to TRY to listen.

That said, if people aren't going to, fuck them.

First off, thanks you very much mikah. Second, I love this song. Nick really can do wonders with what he is given.

I hope Mrs. Nick feels the same way.

I like the song. It doesn't knock Fade Me Out off of my top spot but that would be asking a lot.

sorry, man. I know how that is. Like playing a gig for two drunk guys that would have left if they could find the door...

Ok, here goes.
That's some nice Alice in Chains type noize. You're right about that. Dark. I love it already.

Egad! strange beat indeed. What is that? 5-4 time or something? I really dig that sort of thing.

The chorus riff is wicked! Riding syncopation. One could do some slow head banging or driving to this song.

"Just forget to breath!" Go, Nick! that was some seriously growlin' grr at the end. Very nice.

...And it starts again! Bonus! That synth thing really adds flavor. Good fade out at the end.

...ok. That was a really tight piece. It flows well, its parts are all "catch phrases," wink and flawless transitions. I lament the lack of solos, but they can't all have that blessing. I think that song is probably more round without it this time.

I give it a 9. It kept my interest all the way through, the riffs are excellent, sweet rhythms, and great vocals. It's not a 10 only because I'm a bastard and rarely hand those out. Well done. Can't wait fer the next installment.

Just got around to listening to this, and after a couple of listens, I really like this one. The Alice In Chains comparison was spot-on. Reminds me a lot of "Grind". DRUMS! Awesomeness. And the background effects make the song.
