This song is heavier than you.

KILLING UTOPIA
music - Micah, words - Nick

This isn't Neverland
We lease space in a tenement
I can't pray my way out of this world
Look a sinner in the face see the mirror image shatter them both let the pieces fall
Jagged small versions of us line the floor, rabid and sharp to the touch

Then you'll see how the cracks in the shell allow for a
Little parasite to make a little bit of love, a little bit of contamination for the outbreak

This is not your world, we breathe air with infected lungs
Exhale quick your stolen breath
Look a sinner in the face see the mirror image shatter them both let the pieces fall
Broken smaller versions of us adorn the walls, a tragic new cross to bear

Then you'll see how the cracks in the shell allow for a
Little parasite to make a little bit of love, a little bit of contamination

Epidemic, hamstringing next door neighbor
Myopia Killing Utopia
Pathogen, airborne in the living room
My opiate, Killing Utopia

I'll fight you
I'll blind you
I'll spare you tomorrow
Diseased, ashamed, assign the blame
Afraid to cope without inoculation
Antibodies, anti every fucking thing

Then you'll see how the cracks in the shell allow for a
Little parasite to make a little bit of love, a little bit of contamination for the outbreak

This isn't Neverland, take a piece from the street
And fuse it with the flesh of your neck
Look a sinner in the face see the mirror image shatter them both let the pieces fall

Then you'll see how the cracks in the shell allow for a
Little parasite to make a little bit of love, a little bit of contamination

Epidemic, hamstringing next door neighbor
Myopia Killing Utopia
Pathogen, airborne in the living room
My opiate, Killing Utopia

drums - Steve
vocals - Nick
guitars & bass - Micah

Not only that, but it may be our very best song. Loud, energetic and catchy, this is my current favorite.

Enjoy it or I'll hate you.

"More" as in "elaborate"? I'm stupid.

Not to slight any of the previous PKG efforts, but this sounds like a completely different band. Every aspect of the musicianship (vox, guitar, DRUMS) is on another level. It's been a while since we've heard a brand new PKG tune. Have you guys been on a break to recharge the batteries? If so, I must say I'm mighty impressed with the results of the break.

This song will destroy the stereo in my safe family sedan and leave a pile of twisted metal in its wake.

I like. Not the best of the new stuff, but it's cool, and yes, very heavy. I enjoy this diversity of style, keep it up boys...

Wow...if that ain't the best, Flyers, what is? I'm genuinely curious as to which of our tunes appeal the most to which people.

Give me a moment while I clean up my newly soiled WARDROBE. Fuck, that song is great!

I swear to God, PKG keeps me on my fucking toes like none other.

Micah: Whatever it is you do, you are in the wrong profession. Cut the sleeves off a black tee-shirt, buy a convertible, and head right back to The Age of Thrash. Seriously, your guitar acrobatics SHINE on this track.

Steve: Nice to see you pounding the skins like a goddamn neanderthal! They sound tighter than ever, fantastic work.

Nick: Awesome, awesome, awesome vocals and lyrics. The various levels of distortion/voice effects are as spot-on as I could ever imagine. The bass line is perfection, and the catchiness is all over the place. Bra-fucking-vo.

Tremendous work guys.

That was great execution. Strongest vocals I've heard from Nick period. And the guitar and drumwork were great. Only thing that bugged me was the word "contamination". It doesn't seem to fit meterwise. Does that make sense? A small thing really. Excellent work.

I dig The One You Want, Superconductor Sleeps and Make Him Your Savior more. Not to say this is a bad song, I was just following up the comments about this being your best. Those 3 don't blow it away or anything, my comment probably came off as harsh.

I really dig this tune, which is saying a lot since I'm not a big fan of really heavy stuff.

PKG is on a roll.

Awesome. Simply fucking awesome!

This song ripps your pants off and laughs at the size of your penis.

The guitar/bass work is awesome. The vocals are great and the drums give the song that extra flavor. Those lyrics are great.

Great work guys.

So far the response has been very nice. The same 5 or 7 people are always great to see. Dennis told me this in IM: "love the new song" and "definitely, this one has more hmmph to it".

So that's nice. That said, I'm greedy. Can we maybe another 4 people to listen and comment?
This type of music is totally not my cup of tea, so I usually refrain from commenting on the songs. But still, kudos on actually having the drive to put the albums together and get them released. I've known plenty of people in bands who never got beyond jamming in their garage.

Appreciated, Pox. Honestly, most of the MB people don't enjoy (appreciate) music like this. That said, we play a ton more than heavy metal.

Fucking hell.

I'd say that's the most cohesive PKG track I've heard yet - everything comes together in a way that other tracks, while great, sometimes just missed. It just felt more...complete. Great hooks, lyrics and music snaking together not fighting each other... damn good stuff.

And the guitar solo burned the hair from my balls.

If I had to pick one criticism it's that at nearly 4 and half minutes it felt a bit too long for a song that heavy. Maybe I'm just a wuss.

Wuss. This coming from a guy who plays DAVE MATTHEWS BAND 85% of the time.

Damn. That's smokin'.
Not really my kind of music, so I won't say I like it. However, I can certainly appreciate the talent that went into it. After being dragged to see "heavy" bands with friends almost every other week when I was in college, I can say it more than stands up against most of those that I saw, and I saw a lot, big and small bands.

The guitars and the timing are very good, and the vocals go well with the music. Sorry, it may not seem much like high praise but it's the best I can do not really being a fan of this kind of music. I will certainly check out the other stuff on the strength of this.

I didn't think I was going to like PKG.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Lucky Nighsticks.

But PKG is a whole different animal.

However, I have been listening to some of the MP3s that have been available, and they are great.

And this song is no exception.

Keep up the good work, guys!
Great, great chorus. Just completely catchy. Nice work, gents.
I like it!

As you said, it's pretty intense, I couldn't agree more. Good stuff PKG fellas, I like this direction, go with it!

The opening riff got me right away, because it reminds me of the classic Metallica riffs of their first three albums. Nice to see you using some more of your vocal range, Nick. Good job.
Micah, I have no sperm left after listening to that solo.
The beats are rad, Steve. I like the variations a ton, and the fills are (again) so much like the early work of Metallica's crazy Dane.
This tune rips. Best one ever.

PRetty good, the solo freaken rocked. Remind me of some of the stuff on 'Rust in Peace', the riff was pretty good and I liked the lyrics a lot. As for the vocals, ehhh Im into pretty extreme stuff so I couldn't really give a good opinion on them.
Okay, I'm here...better late than never, I hope.

Love, Love, Love, this song! I always like Nick's vocals best at extremes, and this fits the bill. The music is amazing as well, great guitar! Great sound, period. It honestly sounds studio recorded in mp3 form, so I'm sure on CD it would be perfect.

Still the champ. Love this fucker.
