IMAGINATION ONE:

A very "Carpenter" type of song. Music is handled by Steve and myself.

IMAGINATION TWO:

This song should probably be all you need for admittance into Hell. Music is handled by Micah and myself. The magnificent "vocals" are yours truly.

IMAGINATION THREE:

When I hear this I think of the loss of a child. Not a good think, but horrific. Music is by Micah and myself.

IMAGINATION FOUR:

Another mood piece. I knew the main little riff reminded me of something and after combing through my DVD's I realized it has a definite 'Phantasm" echo. GOOD! Music is by me.

If these links don't work right away, it's because uploading is a bit slow for me right now.

I listened to 2, of course because it sounded evil, and I thought it was great! It's perfect horror music. Then when the distortion and the demonic speech starts I can just imagine flesh being ripped.
It rules!

Here's my takes:

I really love doing this stuff, and since the deadline is this coming weekend I expect to have around 40 - 45 minutes of music done for the film (Of which realistically about 2 minutes will be used since it's not a music driven film)...

Track One definitely has a Carpenter feel, which is rarely bad when it comes to music. That repeating 4 note harmony Steve came up with is great and I could enjoy variations on that for a 3 minute song (which me may do because I think there needs to be some just atmospheric mood pieces).

Track Two is a combo of two ideas. The "bells" at the beginning with the whispers, which then deteriorates into the heavy metal part with the demonic "singing". I know for a fact Bill can't use that but this is music "inspired" by the movie and horror in general. Then it's the atmospheric stuff with the timpani rolls and stuff.

I love this tune a lot. It could be a Package song on its own in a lot of ways, of course people would think we were Satanists.

Track Three is a bizarre little animal.I love it, but it could be in a regular movie and not a horror one with the same amount of ease. The wailing guitar at the end really seals it as spooky for me.

Track Four I love and not for selfish reasons. I think... I KNOW I'd buy an album like this and it certainly does feel like a Mr. Bungle track although I think my goal is more to be entertaining than theirs is (them being "artists" and all).

If you guys like this kind of stuff, I'm toying with the idea of us keeping on our toes by releasing scores for films that don't exist.

For example...

Would you guys like to hear how we'd do a big summer superhero film?

Steve, Micah and I are doing our last sessions for the CD this Wednesday. You'll see plenty of Sodomite Murphy.

Folks, I know it's a huge burden to clock on links and listen to free music.

And since you're so rabid for stuff, here's the cover of the CD:

Damn, that's cool. Real nice and freaky looking. I keep picking out different images in the backround. After giving it a second look though, the font seems a little out of place to me. More of on a Goosebumps level than a demonic horror.

Just out of curiousity what do you use to do the cover art?

And now for the usual question, when does it go on sale?

Splat did the artworkd. That's the "Image" for the film. I hope to have this CD on sale Friday for around 8 bucks.

Very creepy sounding music. All four songs conjured up images of death and destruction in my head that would be rivaled only by the scenes from the finale of "Dead Alive".

Go hear all ten tracks here:

THE COLLECTION is a medley of all the songs in a new order as one song. Really cool stuff. For that, get the CD (which I think will be available tomorrow.

Much fun was had during the creation of the soundtrack, and I think the stuf has turned out better than I expected. As with our other music, this is pretty varied in terms of musical styles. Everyone should find at least something that they like.

As for me, I have a feeling that the film (which I enjoyed even without the music) will be improved by our contributions.

We need to do another one...

Very cool.

The tracks flow really well together setting a very creepy atmosphere. I can definitely feel a little carpenter/morricone influence.

I am really interested in seeing the movie that influenced these tracks. Any idea when this flick might be available for public viewing/support?

Almost every track makes me think of different composers.

My take:

1. Imagination: The Harvest - John Carpenter

2. Imagination: The Turning - Ennio Morricone

3. Imagination: The Numbing - Angelo Badalamenti

4. Imagination: The Metamorphosis - John Carpenter

5. Imagination: The Light at the End - Stewart Copeland

6. Imagination: The Approach - Bernard Hermann

7. Imagination: The Reckoning - Angelo Badalamenti

8. Imagination: The Uprising - Ministry

9. Imagination: The Dance of Death - John Carpenter

10. Imagination: The Gateway - Howard Shore
