Sorry to be the first. It kind of seems like I'm one of a few who actually cares to encourage you guys onward.

I Like Spikes is probably one of my favorite Package songs, just in terms of how it seems to really represent them well as far as artistry. Not too serious or self-important, but well-crafted and talented nonetheless. It's a quirky subject right out of Ripley's, but the music has a self-effacing maturity about it that lets the listener know that this band really knows what they're doing. Stylistically, I Like Spikes is about as far from any popular song you'd hear today, but it somehow would really fit.

That's not to say that way out circus humor is the extent of the band's inspiration, rather, the fun that they have with the music is what seems to represent the mission of the band.

This is how I Like Spikes made me feel on first listen when my big brother bought me A Nice Hard Slap. As a musician and music fan, and a wannabe producer, much more comes through to me than the "believe it or not" character in the song.

They have other songs that are really rad too.

I wish there were more like you Kirk. People have no idea about how unrewarding this movie net business can be sometimes and the music stuff helps divert some of the bad vibe.

Still, mostly they ignore it and move on.

I love this song, and while the original was fun I think this one is a step forward in every sense.

This is a beefed up version of our old impaling standard. More doo-wop now than before.

I think it's #7 on MP3's doo wop charts, which is fitting because I'm a wop.

I hate wops.

You should be surprised to hear Nick rapping because I think that's the final frontier for him. He won't go there.

Nonetheless, he still covers a good range of music, and even though he has what I consider to be very "focused" tastes, he allows and encourages a remarkable range of experimentation to go on at practices and within songs.

And it keep sthe band fresh and anyone who likes our muisc happy. What more could you want?

I LIKE SPIKES has certainly become a Package staple.

I've been among the few who have heard every incarnation of this tune since Nick first gave birth to it years ago, and it just gets better with each attempt.

I'd actually like to hear some more "doo-wop" tunes from Package and The Nightsticks.

I hate wops. But I love this tune.

I'm more of a "Boot Camp & Lamb to Gyro" man, myself.

Speaking of which... "A Nice Hard Slap" isn't available anymore?

Can you guys get famous already, so I can sell this fucker on eBay for a stupid amount of money? After I copy the shit out of it, of course.
