Two other Screening Giveaways this weekend: IRIS & ITALIAN FOR BEGINNERS.

IRIS
"In a touching and inspiring 40 year love affair between Iris Murdoch and John Bayley, the very nature of marriage comes to the fore. Theirs was one of the great literary romances of the century, but theirs is also a story about the uplifting possibility that great love can last even through life’s most tragic and mysterious occurrences.Frequently described as "the most brilliant woman in England," the writer Iris Murdoch was an extraordinary personality and icon of her generation in Britain. From her days as a scholar at Oxford, where she thrilled the world around her with her libertine spirit, through her career as a philosopher and novelist, Iris was truly ahead of her time." Stars: Judi Dench, Jim Broadbent, Kate Winslet & Hugh Bonneville
For Tickets: Stop by the Kudzu Book Fair Decatur (2076 North Druid Hills Rd) on Sunday 2/10 between 12 & 2pm to pick up a pass.

ITALIAN FOR BEGINNERS
"Italian for Beginners" is a thoughtful, charming relationship comedy about six thirty-somethings whose lives interweave one bleak Danish winter in Copenhagen. For these singles, their introductory Italian class is the shared experience that infuses their ordinary lives with passion and makes their dim futures seem significantly brighter. When the young, recently widowed minister, Andreas arrives in town fill-in for the suspended pastor he expects only to stay for a short while. To pass his time he is encouraged to take Italian lessons where he meets Olympia – a sweet woman caring for her sick, curmudgeonly father. As their relationship develops he discovers a very good reason to stay…perhaps permanently.
For Tickets: Stop by Fritti, 309 N. Highland Ave, on Friday, Feb. 8th to pick up your pass.
