Kissing Jessica Stein screening, Q&A, and pre-show wine and cheese...

Who's coming?

I might have a pass or two left for people who WILL show up at Cinevision this Friday evening (the last time I'll be local for 10 days!).

And if you're there by 7:00pm, there'll be free wine and cheese to get you ready for the festivities.

I'm there.

Do you people have passes yet? You must have gotten them at the coffee. I'd love to go and take my woman but I have yet to get on in the mail.

Should I expect something by Friday Nick?

Also, directions escape me as well.
Little help?

2 words for you: You're screwed.

Oh, BTW Hobbs, I'm supposed to tell you that I have the Atlantis DVD right now. I'll bring it back to the next meeting.

Looking forward to going home now to see last night's Buffy. See you Friday I hope!

Hey Nick, Would you be able to hook me up with a pass?

Yes. Email me.

I'll be there along with my sister. misfit_w was right that the theater is one the opposite side of I-85 on the access road going the opposite direction.

The address is:
3300 NE Expressway, Building 2
Atlanta, GA 30341

To get there coming up I-85 N from downtown ATL, take the last exit before Spaghetti Junction (can't remember the name, but it's the next one after Shallowford, which is the exit where you get off to go to Regal 24.) Turn left, cross the bridge and get in the left turn lane, then turn and get on the access road. Go down about 1/4 - 1/2 mile and look for the 3300 building on your right. Turn in and go all the way to the back of the parking lot.

If you are coming from 285, it will be your first exit on I-85 S coming towards ATL. Go straight and get on the access road and go 1/4 to 1/2 mile down and look for the 3300 building on your right.

Hope this helps!

If these directions aren't helpful, then suffer the consequences that you are stupid!!...I'm just kidding; Call (770)455-8988 and I'm sure they can give directions.

Also, I have an extra pass if anybody wants one.

I'll be there as well. Can't wait to see you guys - it's a fun flick, and we get to see it in a nifty place!
OK, Moovyfreak I'll take you up on that offer. I have yet to get a pass via the US Postal so my girlfriend Julie and I will be there tomorrow passless. Thanks!

Looking forward to it.

See you freaks tomorrow night.

I have one or two passes for whomever has a couple of friends or co-workers want to and CAN come.
I'll be there. How early should we get there? I don't know what the seating is like at Cinevision.....
I'm glad you liked the flick, Kevin. It kinda restores my interest in seeing it. The trailer really didn't do anything for me.

See you cats tonight.

Be there by 7. Anyone want to hit Joe Muggs and grab grub after?
I should be down for grub after.
Me too. And, Jason, I'm with you - I thought the trailer was not very good. But the movie turned out to be pretty fun - I was surprised. Good performances and a film with more than comedy on its mind. Wine and cheese? Wait, is this thing dressy?

Fuck it. I'm wearing my sweater vest anyway.

No Shirt, no shoes, no service.

Pants, while encouraged, are not required.

I hit Joe Muggs earlier today (after the 5 minute long Dennis Quaid interview). Food!

Got all the way up there from Covington and they turned me away. I was 5 feet from the door and stood in line for about 15 minutes before they told us there was no more room. This sucked, as I had been looking forward to this all week long. Plus, Nick told me they weren't serving wine and cheese until 7, so that's when I arrived.

Sorry to hear it.

LOVED the film. We're doing a CHUD screening in a couple of weeks.
moovyphreak - same thing happened to me. I was all excited for the showing, but forgot one key thing - you got to get there pretty early to secure a seat. I got there a little after 7:00 PM (I got a little turned around trying to find the place, but I don't think I would have made it in time anyway). I thought since the thing was a Cinevision it wouldn't be as packed as the regular screenings. Me = dumb. Anyway, heard the screening went well and the CHUD folks enjoyed the movie. Great to hear, ya lucky bastards!

Dude. Sorry to hear about what happned Friday night. The movie really was good, though. And the actress who got busy with "Jessica Stein" was a major babe.
I wish you guys could have made it. The movie was good and fun was had by all. Not too mention the pleasure I had watching the freebie junkies swarm around the wine & cheese table. I nearly lost an arm reaching for a glass (i.e. plastic cup) of wine.
I made it and had a blast. The movie was great, and the girls were sexy and fun. I was really encouraged to see some people just go out and make an indie film and have a studio pick it up immediately.

Just goes to show that the good guys win sometimes.

Alas, I missed it too. I just think the screening was horribly booked.

Friday nights are a bad time for screenings by default in Atlanta because those of us who can't get off early enough from work have to slog through MASSIVE traffic to either get home or pick up our dates or whatever.

Then, it's exacerbated by putting the film at Cinevision, which is a great setting, but not meant for the general public, and certainly not as large a group as they invited.

But it was all gravy because I just went and had a nice relaxing pre-birthday dinner with the girlfriend after rushing so much to get there.

Maybe I can catch it at the next CHUD screening. If not, I'll be looking for it on IFC or the Sundance Channel.
