The series by George R. R. Martin about a post WWII world where a virus from space causes wild mutations turning people into super heroes at best and super freaks at worst. This series is great and any movie focusing on characters like the Turtle, Croyd Crenson (the Sleeper), Golden Boy, Mackie Messer, Carnifex, Mr Nobody, Jumpin Jack Flash or Quinn the Eskimo would rock!!

Actually, I'd love to see this done as a continuing series on HBO or Showtime.
