The Last Boy Scout 2

I thought The Last Boy Scout was a hilarious wonderful film. What I still don't understand is how Warner's ever let this gem of an idea go.

Shane Black's terrific script(where the hell is this guy now?)and the great performances from Willis and Wayans not to mention Tony Scott's amazing direction. Why not a part 2?

cause warner's would make it PG-13.

yeah it was a brilliant film and its such a shame a sequal was never made.

although i think they never because sequals can kill off movies. i mean, look at the karate kid. 1 was fantastic. 2 was ok. 3 sucked. and 4 was a family movie, a different style of movie all together.

but this and bulletproof were by far wayans best movie performances.

PS sorry for digging up a 9 year old thread, ive just noticed! :O

The final page of the original screenplay promises a sequel: CRY ME A RIVER.

Another example of Black's off-the-wall sense of humor.

The Last Boy Scout has been a favourite film since I first saw it.  Damon had most of the acting talent of the Wayans family, and Bruce was Bruce and was fuckin' awesome.

it was a fantastic film, i really do like daman wayans, ive not really heard of the others to be honest, but daman is a good actor, im shocked he hasnt been in more.

ps, surely that 9 year digs like a record? lol

I'd have been up for sequel with Willis and Wayans being full-on partners a year or two after the original. Needs a different title though (Son of The Last Boy Scout?  The Last Boy Scouts? The Last Boy Scout's European Vacation?)
