Red Storm Rising

The upcoming "The Sum of all Fears" and someone mentioning on another thread that they would remake "Red Dawn" got me thinking. They could really make amazing battle scenes with the special effects capabilites today. This was one of my favorite books in middle school and I would love to be able to see all the action on the screen. I don't think it could be condensed into a 2 hour movie, though.

I think Harold Coyle's Team Yankee would make a far better WWIII movie. It's shorter and much smaller in scale, but I think it would end up well if someone like Ridley Scott were to direct. I think that Red Storm Rising is a better book, but just too long and complex to break down into a two hour movie.
