Wayne's World 3

It's the 21st century, the world has moved on but Wayne and Garth are still styling mullets, listening to Alice Cooper and worshipping Heather Locklear. And they are in their late thirties and balding now. In essence, these guys that were inexplicably cool ten years ago are now, finally, complete losers. And to make things worse, no one watches their show any longer. Public access TV has been replaced by the internet as the premier geek medium. The guys try to maintain a website but cannot entirely grasp the concept of computers.
Their friendship is about to break when Garth decides to leave the lifestyle behind and get a real job. He gets a haircut and starts wearing suits. The show gets replaced by something more contemporary.
The only solution to this predicament? Wayne must revive the 90's. The problem? No one particularly cares for a decade that consisted mainly of 70's and 80's revivals.
In the end, he succeeds, their whole town is turned into a short of 90's theme park and becomes a tourist attraction.

Sounds great... Not!

Sorry - it had to be done. That actually souds pretty good. My heart would break at seeing Wayne and Garth as middle aged losers, though.

You know, I wish a studio head would see that right there. They'd probably fuck it up though. That'd a great idea and would make a really good movie. So much potential for jokes in that. Garth could becomes a claims consultant or something like that and Wayne could become a guitar salesman trying to stay within his realm. Maybe even have him point to a sign that says "NO PLAYING TEEN SPIRIT!"

You've got to be kidding me...

I think this belongs in the "Films that SHOULD NOT be made" forum... wink

WW 2 was far too much love for a decent little throwoff of a film. I don't dislike the first, but that, really, is all the Wayne's World that America really need until well into the 23rd century.

Now, So I Married an Axe-Murderer 2 has potential!

Waynes World 2 was pushing it. Waynes World 3, espically 10+ years later is just crossing a line that should not be crossed.
