I'd love to reimagine The three musketeers as a modern day spy flick. It's not that hard to imagine the characters in a modern day setting, possibly france and D'artagnan and co. foil the machinations of Cardinal Richelieu the evil minded politician/corporate boss.
You could also set it during WW2 which I think's a better idea. The story can still work within the Nazi hitler regime.

Hmm, that'd be pretty hard, coming up with an interesting screenplay where the Musketeers surrender for two hours.... wink

I think we've seen enough Musketeer movies. Your idea is intriguing, but I still think Hollywood just needs to give that book a rest.
