It's been a while, but the new album's coming together. This song isn't really finished (I think), but your feedback is always appreciated.

This is a love note to video games and easy women.

Hope you like it.

Infinite Lives
(Nunziata)

Chase the worm down, as luck would allow
You’re so shallow, but you swallow
Hate to break the news but there’s more where I came from
I found the green mushroom in the hidden zone
Just when you thought I’d leave you alone
Here I come running with a cute little sidekick
who wants a piece, I do
We all want a piece of you
Insane but I did the triple jump
Now, will you be my prize

I wanted to be invincible
Now I have infinite lives
I wanted to be invincible
Now I have infinite lives

Find an extra man behind the garbage can
He’ll be useful when we go old school
Up. Up. Down. Down. Left. Right. Left. Right. B. A. Start.
I found the golden God buried in the sod
I found the frozen end boss, left his ass dethawed
But still have time let the princess wait a while
who wants a piece, I do
We all want a piece of you
Insane but I can roll like a ball
Will you be my prize

I wanted to be invincible
Now I have infinite lives
I wanted to be invincible
Now I have infinite lives

Urban Champion, or so you say
I’m only a quarter away

Guitar: Makarewicz
Drums: Murphy
Vocals, keys, bass: Nunziata

Good hook/chorus, varied and interesting instrumentation, plus a good and energetic vocal make this one a winner.

Has all of the elements (keys, somewhat funky grooves, odd videogame/pop culture refeences) that make the Lucky Nightsticks what they are.

A signature song, and a good one at that.

I likes.

Any song that can include the Classic Konami Code in the lyrics can't be bad. Clever lyrics and good musicianship make this one a keeper so far.

Ooooh, good song. Great energy, good lyrics.

My favorite part:
"who wants a piece, I do
We all want a piece of you"

For some reason, everything at that point just gets me and makes me smile. Awesome tune, Nick.

This is a very fun song. The lyrics are very catchy and I like the funky feel of the song as well.

This moment in the song made me smile:

Find an extra man behind the garbage can
He’ll be useful when we go old school
Up. Up. Down. Down. Left. Right. Left. Right. B. A. Start.

That great Contra reference almost made me take my NES out of the attic. Great job guys!

Fuckin' awesome lyrics, Nick. Great, funky tune.

Badass. The stop in the song is great. I always love that in songs. Then it finishes off.

The chorus is catchy and well-played.

and...
"who wants a piece, I do
We all want a piece of you"

is the root of all sweetness.

I don't check out as much CHUD music as I should, but that? That rocks like Sasquatch.

I haven't checked out any of the LNs music for ages... but this is absolutely awesome.

I'll be honest, it reminds me of the late 80s RHCPs, which is a very good thing. I wasn't sure where it was going at the beginning, and it did sound like computer game music, which I suppose is the intention, and then when the riff kicked in, it just made me smile.

Just great.

Great stuff nick and company.
I loved it. It was definitly my kind of tune.

Time for me to check out some more LN.

Keep it up.

(Come play a show in Newfoundland )

Nick, did you tell me that there you were in the process of making the voices a little louder in the song so they aren't drowned out by the music?

I still love this song.

My favorite part is the Konami code. Genius.

This is a really great song, I like the chorus melody a lot, coming from the rhytmic verse part. Really smooth.
That Konami code thing is so cool. The memories...
I also love the screaming: Infinite LIIIIIIIIIVES!!!!!

Killer song.

Are you going to clear up the vocals or are you in the process?

I love the chorus and the the lead-in to the rest of the song to the Konami Code. I love how the song has the fake ending.

It's really to bad I used up all the notes on only one song, though.
What does that mean?

this song is fucking fun.

This post makes 6 comments in this thread. Which is more than you humps make in any of the LN or PKG threads.

This is what sold me on the LN.
