OWN UP

No denying the fact she got the lips that make that perfect man-sized “O”
Basilisk, you seem to fit in anywhere, yes I’m a dog but a truth speaking mutt
I’ll ride your leg if you let me, Just go ahead and let me

Own up, we’re all thinking it

No denying the fact those baggy pants look like a fabric store had diarrhea
Just go ahead and tell that little punk that he took the bait like a chump

Own up, we’re all thinking it

Forked tongue has no reason to be locked in the jaw
Does someone smell a freshly minted pile of bullshit
Don’t close your eyes to their fucking surprise
Don’t close your eyes too, it’s all we lie to
Hold them accountable, to a hot surface if you please
Eyes floating sockets fueled by the shady brain
Once a word’s released into clean air, it’s in clear air
It’s fair game

No denying the fact he thinks the convertible, shades, and phone combo
Makes him irresistible despite the fact he’s about as faceted as a sidewalk crack
break his mother’s heart and back

Own up, we’re all thinking it

John - Guitar
Nick - Bass, Vocals
Steve - Drums

Nice!

The guitar work is great. The drum work is good. I really like the vocals but around the 1:30 mark they get drowned out by the music. I fucking hated that. Around the 2:00 mark the vocals became much better.

Overall, I like this track. Listening to this track gave me this "Beastie Boys" feeling. This song is something I see recieving plenty of airtime in the cd player.

By the way, is LN3 close to completion?

The vox were intentionally put in the background during that "rappy" bridge. The music's the important part.

No love for the bass?

Bass was very solid. Lyrics were good also.

As for that "rappy" bridge, I don't know. I understand that the music is the important thing but those moments just didn't feel right when I listened to it.

Well, we'll be adding a solo at the end. I'll punch it up. Tell me what you think when it's up!

I don't know what to think of this one. I really like the music but think it could be a bit more funked up. I like the lyrics but I don't like some of the vocals. Maybe I'm bi-polar today or something. At any rate, it's another good offering and I appreciate that you post up the tracks for us to hear before the album is dropped.

Me likes! Me likes! Not too shabby, not too shabby at all. Love the lyrics.

Solid music once again. The vocals here are stronger. I love the flwo of the lyrics. THe only majotr problem I see here is the music masks the lyrics a little. That may be a mixing issue or it may be by design.

Here you go. Cleaned up. Your problems addressed. And a solo, courtesy of Steve!

Should work for most folks now.

The song works even better. I am so glad that "rappy" bridge is cleaned up. The solo by Steve owns. Good work Nick,Steve and John.

Steve really cleaned clocks on the solo. Tasty, appropriate, and tuneful. Love it.

I'll hit it this weekend and give it a listen.

Have to admit I was hesitant in downloading this because the lyrics were rough. The words were like in your face and I was used to the more subtle stuff from you guys.

After downloading, like others I really like the music and that solo was very nice indeed.

Thanks for sharing this guys.

I love the name and it's not like I have to worry about selling out arenas. Plus, aren't you named after a Star Wars character and a pastry. Pot meets kettle, news at 11.

Sorry if that came off as pissy. Thanks for the comments, regardless.
