THE NIGHT WE LOST OUR SPINES
(Nunziata)

Innocence is a relative term
speak a little louder into the microphone
I want you to go on record with the truth
about the night we lost our...
safe to say we're beyond reproach
tell the idiots what they already know
we aimed for the sky but fell to Earth
on the night we lost our spines

Malformed lenses capture the image without depth perception
we see what we want to see, caution to wind
objects in the mirror are more vicious than they appear
no cap to adrenalin, no recognized threshold of tolerance

All that we want is to be chosen

Innocence is a relative term
speak a little louder into the microphone
I want you to go on record with the truth
about the night we lost our...
safe to say we're beyond reproach
tell the idiots what they already know
we aimed for the sky but fell to Earth
on the night we lost our spines

Bludgeoning our way to the heavens became secondary to them all
now it seems the order of the day is to focus on smarter remote controls
no longer looking up, instead looking within at $100 an hour
no cap to the lunacy, we all seem so fragile

All that we want is some acceptance

Innocence is a relative term
speak a little louder into the microphone
I want you to go on record with the truth
about the night we lost our...
safe to say we're beyond reproach
tell the audience what they already know
we aimed for the sky but fell to Earth
on the night we lost our spines

It's not our world, it's not our time, we're not alone

Innocence is a relative term
speak a little louder into the microphone
I want you to go on record with the truth
about the night we lost our...
safe to say we're beyond reproach
tell the audience what they already know
we aimed for the sky but fell to Earth
on the night we lost our spines

This one I didn't care for that much.

Thought the intro was tops, and then it was yanked for another funk/rock jam. Which isn't bad in and of itself, but I don't find either the verse or chorus to be that interesting, musically.

This one just didn't have any sort of hook for me, and harped for way too long on the main two musical themes (it took until 3:45 just to get to a different part).

Sorry.

The little keyboard thing, or when the whole bitch kicks in?

The keyboard thing. Wished you'd developed it a lot more.

That was originally the 2nd solo in the song but it was too elaborate sounding, and had a little Beethoven harpsichord feel. Hence, it was bumped to the beginning.

S'allright.

I'd like to hear the intro chopped off and developed into it's own song. Sounds to me like it could be a smooth, haunting track.

I like the solo. I have no ending for this so I take a small bow.

It won't bite. Not hard at least.

I like this one. It's not especiall heavy on variety as far as parts go, but I like to think that it has a few really good parts instead a lot of mediocre parts. I thought it was very hooky, actually, unlike what mikah thought. Different kind of hook, but a hook nonetheless. Really cool tones fro guitar and keys, and a great ending.

It's a sleeper hit.

Yes it is.

Well, as seems to be becoming a habit, I debuted this new tune for 5 month old Dillon to a rousing reception.

The verses made him bounce up and down, laughing and shouting.

The first solo made him let out an almighty milky fart (trust me, it's a compliment).

And the last solo made him shout so loud he sent a thick river of baby drool across my keyboard.

But he did get cranky towards the end.

Whenever I do that, it's meant as a compliment as well, but people never seem to understand that.

Odd.....

That's it for now.

2nd best song off the album, right behind Infinite Lives.

Resurrected. Song of the day.

That intro was interesting but the abruptness of the transition into the rest of the song kind of sunk it. I dug the rest of it though. Catchiest tune of the few LN songs I've listened to.

That's an old file. The intro was removed.

Once again, LOVE.

Sorry, sometimes I make the mistake of wearing two eyepatches.

Still dig it.
