Lo Sciame Mortale

Locusts on the ground invite locusts from the crowd
So they each don’t locust all alone
Meet a spouse on a blade of grass
And click your many locust heels in anticipation

Hear them roll wide under flickering skies
painting the night with a chittering surprise
locusts breed nymphs which breed locusts anew
Like a carnival show that rolls through town
the swarm comes and grass turns brown
Men run screaming as the plague rends their flesh

drums & keys - Steve
vocals - Nunz

This track was cool. Brief though but fun. I like the keys and the vocals are good. Around the first 10 second mark the vocals sounded Count Dracula like which was cool. The way the word "flesh" is said at the end was pretty funny. Still, I enjoyed this track on this rainy day off.

Christ, this song could be used to describe the regular assault on my house by pests. This is an interesting little piece. Is there a plan to use a bunch of short songs as segues into longer tracks, kinda bridging the entire album together?

Nah, I just like variety and this is a nice little FNM/WEEN homage.

Nah, I like being ignored.

Carl90210, did you hear something?

I listened to this track a few more times last night. I liked the vocals much more the 3rd time around. I still like the song but the short length keeps it from being something greater.

Yeah, I did hear something. We are the only ones replying our thoughts about this song at the moment.

Really catchy, tiny song here. A lot of fun. I wouldn't be against hearing a longer version, but the quickness of it is certainly part of its charm. Nice work, gents.

I like the poetry of this one. It really brings home that good songs are poetry put to music. Ususally the petry serves the music but here it's the other wat round. Good stuff.

I still wish it were longer.

Also something funny.

I love how it sounds like your speaking German or something. At least is does to me. In fact, I thought the song was in a different language. Then you listen to it with the lyrics, and the English words are completely understandable. Now that I've read the lyrics, though, I'll always hear the English.

Does that make sense?

Yep. Honestly, I think the length of the song IS its charm, though.

I know. It's great to go out on top and leave the fans wanting more than to slowly fade into the boring. It's a prick tease, and you know it.

The song "You and Who's Army" by Radiohead does the same thing to me.
