BLOODLESS, yet another song from LEVITATOR

For the 5 of you who acknowledge this stuff, taste it!

Bloodless
Words & Music - N.N.

Open legs, closed mind, broken down, damage under the hood and low sticker price
But 100 percent woman
Fake orgasm, no sweat, close the eyes, leave the cash on the dresser before you leave
She watches and prays that there’s no violence
Shed a tear, mascara runs, broken down, wipe it clean when the next mark walks by
No longer allowed to fathom hope

Bloodless acts and guiltless crimes
Fading memories of a childhood of promise
Nightmare comes alive and you ride it
Till the last drop is shed

Cross the bridge, closed mind, don’t look back, there’s always someone just out of reach
You’re not a man, just a container
Feed a cold, let fever feast, close the eyes, wonder what she’s got in that dress
You’re not man, just a storefront mannequin

Bloodless acts and guiltless crimes
Fading memories of a childhood of promise
Nightmare comes alive and you ride it
Till the last drop is shed

We are the ones bleeding, we are the ones declining
We are the ones being spilled on the street
We are the masses dying, we are the art of tragedy
Sell us for profit after we’re gone

Deal the cards, stacked deck, poker face, lay them down when the mark is busted
Breaking bones would be much less painful
Beat the street, with a face, watch it drain, another empty shell is shared with the crowd
Eyes glazed and pride all but stripped away

Bloodless acts and guiltless crimes
Fading memories of a childhood of promise
Nightmare comes alive and you ride it
Till the last drop is shed

We are the voice of doubt, we are the ones with questions
We are the ones being left in the dark
We are the masses crying, we are the collateral
Damage destined to rip ourselves apart

Drums - John Makarewicz
Guitar - Micah Robinson
Backing Vocals & Guitar Solo - Steve Murphy
Vocals & Keys - Nick Nunziata

I can't really grade this one objectively, as I'm on it and I happen to be great.

Nonetheless, this is another fantastic track for this CD. As on the last LN CD, the track I am on is my favorite of the "funk" tracks. It's propulsive, but rocking at the same time with dissonant guitar blasts to spare in the chorus and in the breakdown part of the song.

What I hadn't heard previously was Murph's Brian May-style lyrical solo...very tasteful and understated. Excellent addition.

Good vocals, too, chief.

Number 3 on my top 3 for this CD.

I wasn't the biggest fan of this song, but now that it's finished, I love it. Really catchy and, for some reason, the wacky ending suits the song.

I'm also glad there's another song on this album that you like, Micah, even if it happens to be the one you appear on!

I've liked most of what I've heard so far. I think:

Bloodless
Liquid Lunch
Mental Paradise
Beyond the Bones
Perfect Misery
Dust to Dust
Blood Gulch
We Are

...are all winners.

Everyone hits all cylinders on this track. Superb vocals, tight drum line, and great stuff coming from the jokers on guitar, with a smooth complimenting part on the keys.

Keep up the great work, guys.

Very good. Can't hear the lyrics all that well at the beginning, but I dig the energy, and seeing as how you said you prefer energy over vocals, the energy is great and I dig the tune.

This song still kicks ass.

Still dig this song... as I said before, I love the way "woman" "Violence" and other words at the end of sentences are sung.

How's the new album coming?

Good actually. I've got not one but two places you'll be able to download and buy the discs for both bands. Good shit.
