LEVITATOR, the title track from the upcoming LN CD!

I love this fucker. It has to be the only song about a male supervillain falling in love with his arch rival... also a man. Yow!

Another song with some Dire Straits ramifications.

Levitator
Words - N.N. Music - N.N. S.M.

Imbibe the milky way, straight from the udder
Tastes so sweet you forget the silence and lack of atmosphere
Disguised among the space, you seem like another
Want to be with you

Inside the cold reach, life seems to sway
Grace of your body always sends me on my way
Break apart in dead space, can I speak your name
Without sharing your secret identity

Chalk halo tells a tale, killer left a signature
All you need is time to follow the trail to end the madness
I watch in awe as you close the door on another bloody day
Want to be with you

Inside the cold reach, life seems to sway
Grace of your body always sends me on my way
Break apart in dead space, can I speak your name
Without sharing your secret identity

I’m incomplete without you, Levitator
You rule the sky, I rule the ground, I rue the evening when I found
Our paths only can cross on the battleground
Want to be with you

Nick - Bass, Vocals
Steve - Drums, Guitars, Backing Vocals

Excellent. Love the nice moody feel, broken up with the cool guitar. And not to forget the lyrics. All parts work on this for me. Has the potential to be one of my favorites when the disc comes out. (I'm reserving judgement until I hear the rest.)

This one was a bit of a disappointment to me.

The individual parts were fine, but they didn't seem to have any cohesion. They just switched from one to the other with no solid transition.

Also, the song just kind of ended. Not a fave, tho not totally bad.

You might just not know how to judge gay supervillain tunes!

Thanks for listening. Sorry you didn't love it, but there's more right around the corner.

Hart, glad you liked it. I know you didn't mention it, but yes... that was me on the bass and not John Patitucci or Flea.

I can't believe you didn't like this! I think it's brilliant, and the transitions don't bother me at all. In fact, I like to think they're actually helpful in telling the story. Try and think of the heavy parts as being the fight scenes in between these nice contemplative areas.

If anything, I really like how subdued the quiet moments are, and I think they work wonderfully within the song itself. I don't have a problem in the least bit with the heavy parts, but I do wish ,in retrospective, that we had developed the softer side a little more.

Still, it's one of my favorites on the album.

Great tune! The changes in tempo and style work for me on this track rather well. The music feels smooth and polished, with the rhythm section laying some nice grooves. The subject matter is just crazy. Where do you guys come up with this stuff?

LEVITATOR is becoming a greatly anticipated album for me. Let's hope it drops relatively close to a payday.
