Just wondering

You bet!

I've read the Dark Elf Trilogy, and the Icewind Dale Trilogy, got through The Legacy and most of Starless Night but could never finish those books. In other words, i'm WAY behind.

But IMHO, Salvatore is one of the greatest fantasy writers EVER.

Hey Verbal!

Good to see another fan! RA Salvatore is my second favourite author next to Tolkien.

Salvatore's characters and battle sequences are top-notch. I'm getting into the last sequence of books right now..

Paths of Darkness
The Silent Blade (I'm on this book now)
The Spine of the World
Servant of the Shard
Sea of Swords

Did you know Salvatore is on tour? He's coming here to Minneapolis in May which is going to rock - last time I saw him was at San Diego Comic Con where he was absolutely awesome. A great speaker and very charismatic.

Check his web page for tour details - he also just got a writing deal for a new DnD show! (damn I hope better than the movie)

Cheers!

Yes, absolutely. I would love to see films of the Drizzt stuff come to fruition if fantasy finds a resurgence in popularity post-LOTR. Always pictured Gary Sinese as Artemis Entreri...kind of a sinister, every-man quality...its been awhile since I've read the books...the last one I read was where Wulfgar returned...can someone list the books following that one in order...love to pick them up.

You can find pretty much anything you want to know about him here.

Hey I just saw him here in Minneapolis last week - he put on a great Q and A session - I would highly recommend that if he comes to your town you check him out!

His schedule is at RASalvatore.com

He talked a little bit about the T.V. series and he said the chances for a film version of the Dark Elf series is "a bit better than 50-50"!

Cheers!

Whoa that's cool Joram, i'd love to see Drizzt on the big screen.

If put in the right hands, the possibilities are orgasmic.

Joram where are you at most of the time?

I am missing those beings on these boards that posses the tactical wit you have.

Then you appear in the book section. Poof!

Verbal - YES I know! Salvatore writes the stories like blockbuster action movies anyways - as long as they don't make it like Dungeons and Dragons!! Eeks!

Make the movies about the characters - Drizzt, Breunor, Cattie Brie, Wulfgar, Artemis Enteri, etc, etc - use the LOTR formula.

CTDelude - Thank! Good to see you around holding the fort as well! I've been wrapping up finals here these past couple weeks - hence my removal for a bit. Now summer is rolling up and I'm moving home where a steady internet connection isn't a sure thing - but I'll totally try to keep a presence! The Sewer is my home away from home.

Cheers!
