Bonnie Ramthun is a former War Gamer for the U.S. Government. She was a guest on a morning radio talk show this AM, and was quite interesting. These are her books, and apparently concern the same investigator.

Anyone read?

Has anyone even heard of them?

What are they supposed to be about, Blofeld?

From amazon.com

Ground Zero: When a computer War Game at a high-security military complex ends in the brutal death of a programmer, a homicide cop and a CIA analyst follow a trail of clues through a maze of international intrigue and treachery-and learn that one murder was only the beginning.

Earthquake Games: After a freak Colorado earthquake, two people are found murdered. When Detective Eileen Reed and her partner make a frightening connection between the murders and the tremors, they must accept the possibility that this earthquake was not an act of God, but an act of government.

So, has anyone looked at the pretty pictures on the covers?

The second one sounds interesting. I might look for it.

The first... Not so much.

Tell me again (read: for the first time) why these specific, fairly standard looking conspiracy thrillers caught your eye? If I knew where your interest was (i.e. you know the author, or whatever) I could riff off of that. But until then, I am a little lost. They look...okay.
