More Love for "Hot Dog"

Anybody that puts a Belushi article mention on the front cover announcing the title as "Coke is it!" with a big smiling shot of the comedian under it has my vote.

I'm reposting the following because it was at the arse end of a previous thread that has since vanished:

Empire magazine has of late lost much of the humour it once had - I've been collecting it for about five years now. Its look and everything about it have gotten a tad stale and boring. In particular what pissed me off is the increasing amount of filler - whole pages wasted on one paragraph of interview promoting some shite new Britflick. This led me to try something new - Hotdog.

I urge fellow Empire-devouring Chewers to check it out. It's not fifty per cent advertisements like Empire is, and it doesn't come from the stable (Empire and Total Film often have the exact same interview snippets). It's quite full of meaty reading material. And terrific humour CHUD can appreciate.

In the issue I picked up there is less devotion to reviews (the only opinion to really trust is your own anyway) than to fascinating, revealing articles. Here we get MASSIVE coverage of Panic Room, from there David Fincher interviews, and from there the Alien saga. A great article on The Wicker Man (sounds interesting, I haven't seen it). They even take time to appreciate VINCENT SCHIAVELLI.

I know I sound all promotional, but I just think it's a kickass read that you might be missing out on, even if it doesn't have the clout of Empire.
