I just finished this. It was my first Potter book I've read, and this is probably old hat to the rest of you, but I loved it. It was just really great. All of it. So.. yup. Carry on.

You've just taken your first step into a larger world.

The next one is even better. Multo dark shit. I couldn't put it down.

Hmm, possibly time for Alice to read it again.

The store didn't have it. I'd seen the movie, so I figured I had the basic idea and I'll grab it from Amazon when I order PoA and GoF.

Anyone know when Goblet of Fire is coming out in paperback? I've read all the books but not that one.

Goblet of Fire is coming out in paperback late next month. Or at least that's what Amazon.com is promising.

Damn you Rowling! I picked up Prisoner of Azakban yesterday and read to chapter 12 last night. Jesus, this is worse than crack...

Finding myself without a new book to read and everyone else in the house asleep this morning I thought I might reread the first few chapters of The Prisoner of Azkaban.....

Needless to say have to read the whole thing AGAIN. This should make 4 times. 2nd favorite behind Goblet of Fire

Goblet of Fire is good. Really, really good. It's my favourite in the series.

It is worse than crack. I knew next to nothing about Harry Potter and I really couldnt care. Then about 2 weeks before the movie came out out of sheer curiosity I bought the book when I was getting some food at the store. I thought I'd just read the first book to see whats it all bout fully expecting to compeltly hate it and think it was stupid. Well I read all the books (except the last one) I think in about the week.

Maybe the pages are laced with something.

Wow, are these books REALLY that addictive? Geez, I have to see what all the hype is about and pick them up...

Azkaban is the best one, IMHO. There are moments towards the end that actually had tears in my eyes, which is damn near impossible for a book to do to me.

My God, you're really making me want to get these books. Tears in your eyes? I had no idea the books were that dramatic.

Seriously, Verbal, check them out. I was the jaded "these books are probably really dumb" guy who went to the movie because my wife really wanted to. I thought the movie was pretty good, so I started reading the books. Suddenly all my free time was spent reading the damn series. The third book, Prisoner of Azkaban, is by far the best in my opinion, but they are all great. The books really improve on each other as the series goes on. I hope Rowling finishes up Book 5 soon.

Was it the letter? I bet it was the letter!

I, Sirus Black...

Dumbledore tells them what really happened to Cedric. That speech gave me goosebumps. I can't wait for this movie. Especially for the scene where Dumbledore blasts down the door with Harry and Moody. Rowling's description there is as good as Yoda pulling back his cloak in AOTC.
