J. K. Rowling, her future in writing after Harry Potter.

I know this thread is four years too early as the final two books in the series have yet to be written, But I can't help but wonder what the future holds for Rowling barring any unforseen accidents. Will she stop writing and retire with more money than she'll ever need or continue after a couple of years taken off as a break?

This isn't a thread about what types of books she will or will not write in the future but more of a discussion of the possible paths her career might take.

I'm already wondering if Harry Potter will end up being Rowling's Citizen Kane and that she'll never be able to top it or even get close.

On the other hand Harry Potter could end up like the Hobbit. An introduction to forshadowing something much greater that will come in the future.

Or I could be high on my asthma medication and just be rambling on creating a totally useless thread.

Your opinion?

She will have a lucrative career in the areas of action figures, video games and movie deals. So, em, pretty much the way it's going now.

I don't know if anything else Rowling writes will match the popularity of Harry Potter, but I think she will continue to write nonetheless. I think that one of the reasons Harry's only going to be seven books is because Rowling wants to move on to other material.
