Bill "Splat" Johnson's Ghost Gallery and more!

He referenced them in the "Digital Manipulation" thread, and so I thought I'd start a new topic so you can see them all at once...

This image was entitled "Castle":

"The South Will Rise Again"

<img src="http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid13/pebfe891c64c5c5c3ab8626f8a7259a22/fdd73381.jpg" alt="" />

This one was titled simply - "Rod"

<img src="http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid13/pa6faaedb0c178f0b60fd93b49246d82e/fdd73384.jpg" alt="" />

An image that reminded me of the artwork on the "Don't Worry..." Package Album - this is "Screamer"

<img src="http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid13/pc7e181ab0b202e42a6f3bd6d509783d1/fdd73382.jpg" alt="" />

In addition to these, he sent some images created for his church.

A view at Golgotha - "Crucifixion"

And this image of Jesus carrying the cross under a turbulent sky makes me think of a biblical epic as lensed by Jeff Cronenweth or Bill Pope...

Certainly challenges what you think when you think "religious imagery".

Sorry I couldn't make them full size. The images are very striking, but I'm unaware of the board's limits, and I wanted these to load for everyone.

Not a problem - this is exactly what the forum needs to remain a justified creation.

And they are incredible.

Is the presentation okay? The contrast moves around on Jpegs sometimes, I've noticed - do those work for you?

Kick ass stuff! Love 'Castle'. Can't wait to see more

This makes me want to brush up on my skills, I wish had time to devote to artwork these days.

Thought since many new Chewers were here, and that Bill's CG stuff was quite popular, that I'd bring these kicking and screaming into terrifying new life.

Enjoy.

It's interseting that this thread was revived. I'm getting ready to do a bunch more digital minipulations for my church's easter program. I'll post a few of them here when they are done.

Great stuff there.

Bet you could do a cool "hell" one, eh?
post #21 of 23
Probably so. Here is some art that I did for our coffee house at the church's teen center.
