For all you interested in Make Up Effects as a career

I have a lot of people ask me about how to learn to do make up effects. I always recommend Dick Smith's course. I thought that I would post a link to his site, in case any of you are interested in that sort of thing. Here it is:

That is the course that I took that filled in all the gaps for me. I can honestly say that I don't think that I would be doing this kind of work, if it weren't for him. Dick is also a really great guy and a good friend. So, if any of you are interested in learning about this kind of work, check out his site. (He also has a lot of cool pics of some of his make ups)

My brother and I were always thought of as this dynamic duo of retarded moviemaking. I di a lot of the writing lighting and directing - he did all of the effects work. On a shoestring, he did really well, as far as I'm concerned.

Dick Smith, via videocassettes and books, was his constant instructor.

Unfortunately, my brother gave it all up - but I'll never forget hving to make idiotic faces after my brother applied some nine piece prosthetic to my face and deadpanned "Hypnotize them, Dennis."

Dick Smith (a God).
