Whilst surfing the web for more info. on my latest material obsession, known as the Volks Super Dollfie (bane of Johnny Butane's existence) pictured below:

I decided to look up the sculptor who creates the dolls: Akihiro Enk

This is what I found:

It's always the paint jobs that amaze me.

I'm too much of a pussy to apply paint to models of most kinds unless they were not monetarily pricey. When I finally get a Super Dollfie I am probably going to just buy a custom head rather than doing my own painting (if I phucked up a $500 doll I would KILL me).

I have a statue of Peloquin ("meat for the beeeasssst") from my 20th b-day that I haven't even attempted to put together because I'm petrified that I'll screw up the paint job, sigh, I need bigger balls or a some airbrushing classes.

'Course, another way to overcome fear would be to start on something not so pricey.

And...well, something that NEEDED A PAINT JOB (and a slight head re-sculpt...) ANYWAY.

Creech, how about this image of a home made Sadako statue I found on the ringworld website? the guy is actually working on mass-producing and selling it... I'm up for that!

Here are the links:

The Malice Mizer Dollfie is from <a href="http://gothic.pobox.ne.jp/alice/sd/" target="_blank">Here</a>, made by someone who's got lots of time and $$ (jealous!)

The other two I snagged from someone's gallery, it's all in Japanese but you can use babelfish and attempt to decipher the poopie English it translates into, go <a href="http://www2s.biglobe.ne.jp/~pygmalio/pygmalion/pygmalion1.htm" target="_blank">Here</a>

I saw the Sadako prototype the other day, I want her eye peeking through all that hair! And HAM, you come visit for Summer vacation and we play with Peloquin, yes please! Heh, I just need time to sit down and brush up on skills that have stagnated into nothing, I'll put that thing together before I die...and come back, and die again!
