An opinion please...

Here's my first attempt at painting in Photoshop. I usually use Corel Painter or Flash MX for my art, but I wanted to try out some Adobe action...

What do you think? I did this this morning on a whim, looking at my mom's cat, who I am visiting this weekend.

Any input would be appreciated...sorry for the size!

Looks pretty cool to me. Of course, I couldn't paint in Photoshop to save my life, so I'm impressed. I only use Photoshop for putting Nick's head onto the bodies of Playboy Playmates.

Wait...did I just say that out loud?

Actually I re-read that after I posted it and thought about changing that...but I'm dialing up here 'cause i'm in BFE, and just said "screw it".

I usually put Nick's head on Roseanne's plump naked body...

I like the eyes - the reflections and the pattern on the iris are both spot on. The fur's not quite as polished, but fur is really hard to do on a computer anyway. Unless you work at Pixar.

That's miles ahead of anything I could ever hope to do.

Then again, I have trouble drawing squares with Paint.

Thanks for the comments!

Dan, I have (as most people) always had a problem with representing hair well in my art. I've been successful in several techniques but each one has its flaws. Any favorites that look better than others?

Just wanted to say I appreciate the opinions, everyone.
