Voltes and his Horror Comic Book Diary

Seeing Poxy's work made me nostalgic of my "old" work. Really, this is really old.....

I posted this in the "Horror Appreciation Thread" in the Corner's board. Anyway, I just thought that I share it once again in this forum.

--------------------

When I was a kid, the movies that I will typically rent are horror, fantasy, sci-fi, and cartoons. But what I tend to watch and read about are mostly horror-related stuff. I was always fascinated with the realm of horror stories.

Anyway, when I was 9 years old, I was given a diary. The moment I got that diary, I transformed it into a comic book. And in it, I created 2 horror stories. You can check it here:

This diary is somewhat of a prized possession of mine because I've had it for almost 20 years! It's starting to yellow and scanning it seemed like a good idea, plus I think that you guys will be entertained by my numerous grammar mistakes (and just plain bad English) and my abuse of horror cliches.

Check how I used to think "asshole" was spelled:

I have no idea what The Murder Of Mrs Gray is about, but I love it. I particularly like the way you even put in a full page advert for Johnson's Baby Powder. It's spooky, because this is almost exactly what I used to do at about the same age - even putting in adverts so it looked like a "real" comic. I'm going to have to see if I can find any of them now.

If you don't mind me asking, what do you do for a living, Voltes? Because if it doesn't involve writing, drawing or something that requires at least a scrap of your imagination, I'm going to be very angry with you

That was pretty cool. Made my head hurt, but still cool. I think I'll look at it again and try to figure out what happened.
