This one is charcoal on notepad paper roughly 3 x 2 feet. Based on room composition by the surrealist Magritte.

I'm actually a printmaking major so I could make a print of this image in one of a dozen ways. I'm taking a more advanced litho class next semester. I will be able to play around with photo transfer equipment so I could personally take a picture of this charcoal drawing, scan it into the machine and print that onto a litho stone. Then with the stone I could make legitimate lithographs of this image! I'm sure there are easier less personal ways to make a print of this but i'm an old fashioned artist.

Yes I've been asked. No I don't do them. And I should because then I could get money which is green and nice and makes a pretty rustling sound in your pockets.

well you know, you can do the drawing and have someone else do the actual tattoo. ^_^ and yes, with a style like that you would make lots of money. of course you wouldn't be able to do as much small detail. that get's fuzzy too fast...

and i keep forgetting to mention that every time i see the title of this post i think of the Beach Boys Song, I'm My Room. needless to say that song is forever changed for me.

Beach Boys? Ok, I officially hate you. wink

Actually the song is a direct homage to Depeche Mode's "In Your Room"

In your room where souls dissapear
only you exist here

kind of implying that the person is alone and everything else isn't real yet it's there.

What hellish part of Florida do you live in???

Besides, everyone here in Florida knows its Buffett and not the Beach Boys that you can't get away from.

You have one chance. What other types of music do you listen to?
i live in the Hellish Orlando part. and yes, i get to hear every day about how Jimmy Buffet has a song with my name in the title... "Did your parent's name you after that song?" uh, no bitch... i'm a little older than that song... *sigh*

i listen to almost everything. right now i am on a Brand New kick. they are a semi-punk band for NJ. i've also been listening to Voltaire, the Ramones, Lords of Acid, KMFDM, Thrill Kill Kult, Social D., (i would listen to my Mike Ness solo stuff if i still had it...), some Johnny Cash... uh... i think that about covers it... aside from what they play at the club when i go out... i am feeling another Swing phase coming on, or i might go for another 80's phase. right now i am in kinda this late 90's Industrial/Goth/Punk thing...
