The Misfit Parade

This was done with a precise ink pen and a sheet of paper 8 x 11 in or close to.

And yes I'm a huge Tim Burton fan!

Very cool!

It reminds me of the old Medieval paintings that people did about the Black Death. There would be all these demons and skeletons representing the plague, running around torturing people, and they were often shown as these abominations of nature that resmble your freaky guys there.

Again, very cool stuff.

Bosch meets Burton! Very, very cool stuff. I could see stuff like this as the illustration for a really fucked-up kids book.

so you ever thought of designing tattoos?? i'd love to have some of that on my body! it's GLORIOUS!!! have you ever read anything by Roman Dirge?

cabal, these are really good. Thanks for posting them. I agree that they would fit very nicely into a Gorey-esque book for kids.

I actually got into an argument with Roman Dirge about art but that was a long time ago.

Tim Burton meets Hieronymus Bosch is my mantra. I'm heavily influenced by the etchings made by Pieter Brugel the Elder that are imitations of Bosch. I just have to put something in every sqaure inch of the composition. It's an obsession. I've dozens upon dozens more ink drawings I can post whenever. I suppose I should make a website for these someday. I don't show my artwork anywhere but the net so I greatly appreciate the comments!

I see a little Jose Guadalupe Posada in that, too. Is it just me?
