Artist Needed

This is a serious job offer. I'm looking for an artist to provide spot illustrations for a publishing project I'm working on. It will be paid work, although at the moment I don't know how much budget I have to play with so I can't give an exact figure.

This isn't a small self-published venture, so the work needs to be of professional published standard. You don't need to have been published before, but I need someone who can work fast and to a deadline. Previous experience is beneficial, but not essential.

The project will be a high profile licensed publication for UK newsstands, and will be a fantastic addition to any artists resume or portfolio. If you're interested - or know of anybody who might be - then drop me a line at dan.whitehead@livepublishing.co.uk

Examples of artwork, either as attachments or links, are vital. If you want an idea of the kind of thing I'm looking for, then I've only got one word for you: DINOSAURS!!!

Handdrawn, computer manipulated digital art, B&W, colour...what?

Sorry, I'm from a comics background and forget that there are other types of artist out there! Hand-drawn, preferably. People who can supply coloured art would be better, but I'd bend for a fantastic B&W artist.

hmmm.. sounds interesting. I don't suppose you could give an example of what kind of dinosaur composition you'd be wanting?

Basically they need to be authetic looking - the magazine will have an educational slant, so there's a need for still poses of dinosaurs for fact sheets etc. But - there'll also be plenty of scope for action shots - raptors v T-Rex etc.

The most important element is being able to draw a convincing dinosaur.

Would that be just inks, or coloured and lettered stick figures?

This is open to anybody, anywhere in the world?

Yep, with the wonders of modern technology I see no reason why it shouldn't be someone in Outer Mongolia. If you've got the skills, I'll work something out.

Hi there..... Man this is great! I hope I'm not to late. Ummm so I do a lot of dragons and reptile drawings and I don't see why this would be any different from DINOSAURS!!! I used to have a page hosting all my dragon drawings and reptile drawings but it crashed and a lot of stupid stuff happened to it.... So all I have is this old site from art that I did way back in the day as an example... If you’re interested in my stuff, I can send you some examples of my retile work

I have my own business right now doing art for restaurants around town... but it’s staring to get a little stale so I was hopping to try my hand at something new. Please I hope that you can get a hold of me.

Sincerely,
LITS

You do realize that this thread is over three years old, right?

Shills have no sense of time. Or shame.
