I know this is a bit early, but when will ChudWest 2003 take place? Last weekend of July?

The reason I ask is because I have already started planning for the summer (weddings, family vacation, etc), and *maybe* planning to bring the future mrs. nelson...

...so, it would be nice to know.

Hmmm don't think anyone has actually sat down to think about it since Nick told us to take it easy on the ChudWest talk.

Don't know Nelson...when will you schedule be all penned in rather then penciled?

This summer, depending on how much money I have, I plan on doing a lot of travelling around the country, so hopefully, I can get out for this one.

Future Mrs. Nelson?

We'll probably be consulting on this in February.

Oh, and unless Nick is involved the name of the event will be different.

That's from the Nunz himself and I respect that.

But if we can talk him into a Coast to Coast flight again...

We could always call it....*CHUGFest!

I plan on being in LA both the week before and the Sunday AFTER SAN DIEGO COMIC CON. If a CHUDWEST is to happen, I'll need to be fully involved. Otherwise, you can call it whatever you want, I won't be at it.

So July 26-27?
Sounds like a good initial plan.
Indeed.

Also reminds me that I want to actually check out Comic Con this year.-

Please let it be a CHUD event. Id love to meet Nick. Seems like a cool guy and then we can all play Twister. K, maybe not. By the way, how was last years?
I'll mark my calender since I'm in the LA area as well.

What does Will say about all of this? Where is he, by the way? I haven't been in here for awhile, so maybe I've missed much discussion, but why is a gathering of all of us Chewers in a West Coast environment calling ourselves, in here only, ChudWest a problem?
Carries the CHUD name, which belongs to Nick.

he can do whatever he wants with it.

I'd like Will at CHUDwest 03, but I think it's important that we do it at a neutral location so that nobody feels pressured and so everyone who can come DOES. I don't want any bad blood or petty B.S. to keep people from having a good time. It's not fair to me, it's not fair to Will.
Do it IN San Diego. Most of us will be there already...

I'd think LA is more feasible though.

But that's just me and my bias talking.

I cast my vote for LA too. There are some nice locations though between LA and San Diego (Laguna, Huntington Beach...)
I vote for LA, but whatever. IF Will wants to host it--I certainly wouldn't assume he does--I think it should be cool. The guy called me a pig's dick or something on the boards, but we got along great in real life.

Amazing how that works aye?

I don't see this happening.

San Diego would be ideal, but honestly... I'm planning to fly to LA a few days earlier and then stay a couple of days after. Whatever works. I just want it to be something where there's no baggage... just a few great people having a good time. If Will would like to have a post-event hook-up at his place for drinks, coffee, and late night discussion I'm all for it.
Alright..so looks like we have to start thinking about this puppy then.

I'm gonna bat around some ideas with Tanya and see if we come up with anything.
Well, if it's of any concern...I talked to my stitcher recently and he can change the '02 to '03 for additional CAPS. And I can get them in differing colors upon request.

FYI.
LA is preferable to me. Not a comics guys, not going to Comic Con.
What's that? CTDelude's house? Yeah, that sounds good!
