Circumcision?

So who is circumcised and who isn't? (no need to be shy, I never am wink )
What are your thoughts about circumcision?
If you have/had a baby boy would you have it done?
If you have had sex with men, do you have a preference?
Is there a difference between the two?
Details please.

I have never been with an uncircumcised man so I'm not sure how I feel about it. I have seen them in porn and it looks a little odd (just because I am not used to one) but I have always wondered if there was a physical difference.

My parents cut me. I never really thought about it before.
When my son was born, they never even gave me the option. Some nurse handed the baby to me, and he was circumsized. Like magic.

--I would like my child to get circumcised as early as possible.

--Either way is cool. Circumcised folks tend to appear "cleaner."

--Well, I got circumcised when I was 11 years old. When I went to surgery, they told me that I had to play with my ding-a-ling so that they could pull back the foreskin further (it was a bit tight). It was funny the way my grandmother explained how to masturbate. Anyway, I masturbated for a full week and when I returned for surgery, I experienced one of the most painful things in my life..... Oh, the question. I think uncut folks tend to be a bit more "unclean" than cut folks. But it all boils down to personal hygiene. I don't know. I haven't seen another man's uncut penis.

I am...and have been informed it's spectacular.

My son is...and I know he's gonna be spectacular.

But watching his was surreal. Not a problem though...he was a tiny baby.

Yes, and sometimes I too wish I had an extra layer for those commando days.

I would like to have two little girls than boys but if a boy is born I probably would.

Haven't ever gone that way. I prefer women. But I would probably prefer circumcised.

I am (I'm me). And I have a baby boy and he is. The general tag line that I heard for deciding whether or not to circumsize your son is to base it on "what daddy has done".

And on a funny note, when our pediatrician saw our son for the first time, the first words out of her mouth were, "My, what a beautiful circumcision!"

I'm a fireman, not an anteater
Makes no difference to me. I don't think it's more hygenic if the child is taught proper hygeine.
I would discuss it with the mother and we'd come to a mutual decision.
That's not my scene, but while watching porn I think I prefer to see circumsised. Probably because it resembles my own and that's what I am visually used to.
I really don't know. I feel that hygeine is a non-issue, but I have heard that without forsskin the Glans Penis (head) can become desensitized by constant rubbing against underwear, pants, etc. B I have never asked around. Some say that is also a myth. I had a friend whose sister-in-law had 2 little boys who were un-cut and he said that until boys get to an age where they have regular erections that stretch out the top of the foreskin that erections for them can be painful and constricting, but again I have no proof.

There was a show on HBO called "America Undercover: Private Dicks Men Exposed" (or something like it). Basically they interview men and discuss their genitals.

There was a man there who was angry at his parents for circumcising him at a young age. Basically, he had complications as it pained him whenever he had erections. He had to have surgery to get it fixed.

I've taped this somewhere and I'll see if I can find it and I'll transcribe what he said.

It was a big matter of discussion before my son was born. We decided that we didn't want him to catch a glimpse of daddy and wonder why he looked different ... still haven't decided how we'll explain the "but I'm so much smaller than Dad's forty-two inches" though...

A Latino friend of mine hadn't been circumsized until he was a sophomore in HS.

By the way, i'm definitely circumsized.

I've been with both. There's no physical difference other than how they look. As already mentioned circumcised men are a little more sensitive than uncircumsized men and uncircumcised need to pay more attention to personal hygeine. I don't know what I would do if I had a boy. Probably let his father make the decision.

I looked up the definition of circumcise and this is a bit interesting.

cir·cum·cise: to cut off the prepuce of (a male) or the clitoris of (a female)

OW! As the clitoris is the pleasure center for most women, I can only assume that cutting that off would essentially end all possibility of having an orgasm. Circumcised men are quite capable of having orgasms. This seems highly unfair. Luckily, I don't know of many women who are circumcised, so I guesss that's a good thing.

Brian Ross, cool link. I have one question though. It claims that Ewan McGregor is uncircumcised, but I remember seeing him in Trainspotting, and although it's only a quick shot, he looked circumcised. maybe I'll do some "research" and watch Trainspotting tonight. I'll keep you all informed. wink

I myself am uncircumcised, as I'm pretty sure most people in this part of the world are. I've given the subject some thought in the past, but I prefer me unmutilated as I am. I can't imagine what it must be like to be circumcised, as the... helmet area is so sensitive. Thankfully the women here are also none the wiser. I shower every day so personal hygiene is not a problem.

I've never seen Trainspotting so I wouldnt know, however knowing that hes naked doesnt really make me want to rush out and watch it.

I dunno. I just saw Velvet Goldmine, and he has alot of penis flopping around in one scene and it looks uncircumcised...but its so hard to tell...I think I need to watch that movie again too

Circumcisions are VERY uncommon where im from. And although reduced sensitivity does have its benifits, i think i like my ammount of sensitivity just fine the way it is.

they wont circumsise a boy unless they are either asked to by the parents or it is needed for medical reasons.

I myslef still have the original wrapping and have never had a women ask me why i wasnt or indeed had a women say she preferred it either way.

As for more or less sensitive I think unless you can remember being an aardvark and then a helmet the question is moot. I've always been foreskin-free (at least as long as it's mattered), so my sensitivity is a constant. I've got no frame of reference for being un-circumsized. If you suddenly wrapped duct-tape around the end of my knob would I feel less sensation? Of course! (and no offers, please).

But you can't really compare sensitivity from one person to the next. It's like comparing apples to oranges, or plantains to peanuts, as the case may be. Unfortunately I'm closer to the later category.

My wife and I plan to have our son circumsized when he's born (28 Sept, or thereabouts). Not really sure what prompted my Mom and Dad to have me altered (Dad wasn't), but since it's the way I've always been it seems normal to me.
